This is just a real quick one - no really, it's 9 minutes long! We just wanted to encourage all our Sisters in Christ out there that no matter where you stand on COVID vaccinations - don't let this issue wreak havoc in your relationships or lead you into sin. Do your research, have the discussions BUT -  BE RESPECTFUL of others. May we ALWAYS and in ALL THINGS point others to Jesus and His Kingdom ... even if we disagree on this topic (!!!!) - because after all, He's the main event!

In this episode we interview a woman on a mission... no really, she is a missionary! Hear her encouraging story of what it looks like to trust Jesus day to day as she serves Him and His people in a place that has faced a lot of disaster and destruction.  We cover a bunch of topics including what it looks like to follow your calling, patience in the waiting, wisdom & grace in the tough times, being on mission with little ones and some advice on handling fear and the unknown. You will be both challenged and encouraged to keep handing your life and the people you love most - over to Jesus!

As promised, we alluded to an episode to come that would tie in with the Biblical Theology stuff in helping us to see Jesus in the Old Testament. Here it is! In this episode, we unpack some of the OT to see how Jesus is PATTERNED, PROMISED and PRESENT throughout! We really enjoyed recording this episode and found it to be quite a meaty discussion - we hope it's helpful!

In this episode, we are going to have a look at the big THEMES of the Bible and how they pop up time and time again, shaping the overarching narrative of the Bible. So if you’re a picture person, it might be handy for you to draw these themes in the front cover of your Bible and then assign a highlighter colour to each one and when you’re reading and you notice a particular theme jump out, you could highlight it in that colour.

Themes:
Lamb = sacrifice
Handshake = covenant
X = sin and judgement
Temple = God’s presence
Speech bubble = a new word from God i.e. Prophesy
Crown = kingship
People = God's people
Grass = land
Cross = Godʼs sent rescuer/rescue plan

Well if you're like us, you would have been incredibly challenged by what the Bible has to say on greed, gluttony, slothfulness, pride, anger, envy and lust.  This has been a big series and so we have come to the end and realised we missed a few key points for some of the sins plus we thought we'd review what we learnt and spend some time thinking about how to realistically apply killing off these sins in our lives and how to encourage others to do the same! Thank the Lord for His Spirit, who helps us become more in step with what He wants and less with what we want. Enjoy!
