Dr. Yvette Martínez-Vu is a Chicana Mother-Scholar who works as an academic coach and consultant. Dr. Yvette has a Ph.D. in Theater and Performance Studies and BA in English Literature from UCLA. She is the producer and host of the Grad School Femtoring podcast as well as the founder of Grad School Femtoring, LLC, a platform that aims to empower first-generation students of color as they navigate higher education. She is also a proud mom of an eight-year-old and one-year-old. Dr. Yvette recently transitioned out of academia after working in higher ed for over ten years and since then she has relocated her family to Portugal.
