In this conclusion episode, the gang says farewell to season one of Here In The Void. We remember the highs, the lows, the guests, the jokes, the Mashed Potatoes, and we talk about why we started and what we hope to accomplish.
As always, thanks to Shelby for the intro and outro music. You can follow us @HITVPodcast on twitter and instagram, @RealHITVPodcast on tiktok, and email us at [email protected]. Send us stuff, anything from questions to ideas to things you just need to get off your chest. It can be incredibly helpful to shout into the void. We're gonna take our summer break now, but the socials will all be active, so don't be a stranger!
And of course, we have to thank you. You who downloaded and played our episodes almost 700 times, you who sent us questions, followed the twitter and instagram, who guest starred and co-wrote, who joined the Void Family. We define our existence, as both a show and as people, by the bonds we form with others. We're grateful to have formed ours with you.
See you in the fall!
This week in the void, we bring in Professor Douglas Brattebo, Political Science, to talk about things that are distinctly not political science related, but then also a little related. Along the way, we talk about how Professor Brattebo met Jeffrey, the amazing superpower of pessimism, Depression Sandwiches, electing our parents president, and creating our dream careers. After a brief intermission, sing along if you know the words, we use some of the good professor's expertise to discuss the role of hope in life and politics, and whether or not being hopeful is really enough.

This week in the void we're honored to host the hosts of Tony and Jimmy Try It, a podcast where Tony and Jimmy interview people and try a new flavor of ice cream every week. We talk about what it takes to make a podcast, Tony's semi-marriage, first impressions of each other, why we record ourselves every week, and movies that are better books.

In a nod to the podcast that made Brett want to make podcasts (My Brother, My Brother, and Me), the Void gang go through Yahoo answers and provide a little help to a few strangers for the last possible time. This episode dedicated to Yahoo answers, rest in peace.

This week, we welcome Michael's sister and avid lesbian, Nicky. We discuss the gay agenda, lesbian music artists and the current toe tapping tunes in the LGBT+ community, whether or not cargo shorts are good pants, why you should go to a pride parade, getting on Fox News, just how angry we get at Call of Duty, growing up with Michael, and fashion. Additionally, Nicky shares some of her poetry!

This week in the void we welcome our friend Anthony on to talk about Star Wars and job hunting. Along the way, we talk about sexy Gungans, Brett's upcoming album, the inhumanity of resume filtering, how Bioshock isn't even a little political, and what it means to escape.
Check us out on twitter, tiktok, and instagram @HITVPodcast, and send us a voice message at anchor.fm/HITVPodcast. Thanks as always to Shelby for the intro and exit music, you for listening, and Disney for not suing us for reading Star Wars. #LetUsReadIt
This week in the void, the team tackles the Snyder Cut, The Suez Canal, Five Nights at Freddy's, increasingly obscure forms of literature, The Favorites Hotseat, Global Capitalism, the Girth Burger, and Ron's Creamy Surprise. It's a light hearted episode this time around.
Check us out on twitter, tiktok, and instagram @HITVPodcast, and send us a voice message at anchor.fm/HITVPodcast. Thanks as always to Shelby for the intro and exit music, you for listening, and the Swedish woodland cult for letting Brett go so he could edit the episode. Things were getting weird in there.
This week we bring a guest into the void: longtime listener Bill! Thanks Bill. We discuss some of Bill's favorite (and least favorite) things including alternate history, our favorite Bible Stories, Ben Shapiro's new movie, being Rambo's niece, sex in video games, Cyberpunk 2077, and Hobby Lobby. Yeah, we stay busy on this show.

See you next week right Here In The Void
On this episode, the gang talks about why college students are sad right now, why Dr. Seuss fans are sad right now, cool US states to visit, Gary, Indiana, the time Brett and Jeffrey went to Korea, the proper way to consider intersectionality, and combatting bigotry in the academic setting.
We also apologize for taking last week off, James wanted very much to get Hawaii off his list.
As much as we want to make you laugh, we want to make you think about things in the void. If you have a thought while listening to the show, or after the show, send it to us at [email protected], or @HITVPodcast on instagram or TikTok. You can also call directly in by sending us a voice message on our Anchor page, so don't be a stranger!
We'll see you next week, right Here in the Void!
In this episode, the team drops some lore on you. More specifically, we talk about the high schools we went to, appropriate places to drive tractors, corn class, getting into the lab at an early age, corn tumbleweeds blowing through the door, a building that's either too hot or too cold, and a group of grape-themed rebellious groups. After having our broadcast highjacked by the notorious Jigsaw Killer, we take our surviving listeners on a journey through ethics, where we discuss the shopping cart dilemma, being a good person, moral relativism, and Tucker Carlson's bad Dennys. I don't know either.
Got a burning question? Need to say something? Is there something you want our take on? Feel free to leave it anonymous or ask for us to leave it anonymous if it's a secret question. We also want to give our profound thanks to Shelby for our incredible Intro and Outro themes. Thank you Shelby! That's all for this week, and we'll see you next week, right Here In The Void.
