    1. Creer que Dios es

    2. Confiar en Dios para salvación.

    3. Confiar en Dios para santificación.

    4. Confiar en Dios para bendiciones

  • Living by Faith

Key Verse:   Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Main Point: People who trust only what they can see cannot live a life for God’s glory.

Hebrews 11:1-6      Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. 3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. 4 By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks.5 By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

    Living by faith means:

     1. Believing that God is

    2. Trusting God for salvation

    3. Trusting God for sanctification

    4. Trusting God for blessings

  • Road to Christian Success

Key Verse:   1 Peter 2:2 "...as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby."

Main Point: Christians who are constantly growing in Christlikeness bring honor and glory to God.

Psalm 1:1-3     Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.

Ezra 7:10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the Law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach statutes and ordinances in Israel.

Ezra’s approach to the Word of God teaches us the road to Christian success…

    1. Ezra prepared his heart.
    2. Ezra pursued God’s word.
    3.
Ezra performed the word of God.
    4. Ezra passed on the word of God.

  • Compartiendo el Evangelio

    Versículo Clave: 1 Pedro 2:9  Mas vosotros sois linaje escogido, real sacerdocio, nación santa, pueblo adquirido por Dios, para que anunciéis las virtudes de aquel que os llamó de las tinieblas a su luz admirable;

    1. Estemos firmes en el evangelio (2 Tim 2:1)

    2. Haigamos apredido el evangelio. (2 Tim 2:2a)

    3. Enseñemos el evangelio (2 Tim 2:2b)

  • Sharing the Gospel

    Key Verse:   1 Peter 2:9   But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

Main Point: God Is glorified when Christians lovingly and obediently share the good news of salvation with others.

2 Timothy 2:1-2     You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

Sharing the gospel requires for us to:

    1. Stand firm on the gospel (2 Tim 2:1)

    2. Have learned the gospel (2 Tim 2:2a)

    3. Teach the gospel (2 Tim 2:2b)

    1. Obediencia

    2. Amor (El Mayor Mandamiento)

    3. Permanecer

  • How Christians Ought to Live: Walk as Jesus Walked

Key verse: 1 John 2:6 “The one who says he remains in Him should walk just as He walked. (HCSB)

    Introduction

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only hope for a fallen world and the Christian is the primary tool in the hands of the Holy Spirit to spread the gospel. 1 John 2:1-6

    Background

The purpose of this book is to address some serious doctrinal heresies which caused some division in the church.

The belief system being promoted at that time was Gnosticism. This belief system is centered on the idea that two equal forces existed in the world, one good, one bad. The good was attributed to the spiritual while the bad was attributed to the physical.

    John’s Approach to the Problem

Provide a contrast between believers and unbelievers to assure those who claim to be in Christ.

    1. Obedience

    a. Ecclesiastes 5:1 “Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. Better to draw near in obedience than to offer the sacrifice as fools do, for they ignorantly do wrong.”

    b. 1 Samuel 15:22 “Then Samuel said: Does the Lord take pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord? Look: to obey is better than sacrifice, to pay attention is better than the fat of the rams.”

    c. Mathew 5:23-24 “So if you are offering your gift on the altar, and there you remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled with your brother, and then come and offer your gift.”

    2. Love (greatest commandment)

    a. John 15:12 “This is My command: Love one another as I have loved you.”

    b. 1 John 3:10-12“This is how God’s children-and the Devil’s children-are made evident. Whoever does not do what is right is not of God, especially the one who does not love his brother. 11 For this is the message you have heard from the beginning: We should love one another, 12 unlike Cain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother, and why did he murder him? Because his works were evil, and his brothers were righteous,”

    c. John 13:34-35 “I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you must also love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

    3. Abide (remain) “meño”

    a. John 15:4-6 “Remain in Me, and I in you. Just as a branch is unable to produce fruit by itself unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in Me. 5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without Me. 6 If anyone does not remain in Me, he is thrown aside like a branch and he withers. They gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned.”

    b. Romans 11:22-23 “Therefore, consider God’s kindness and severity: severity toward those who have fallen but God’s kindness toward you-if you remain in His kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off. 23And even they, if they do not remain in unbelief, will be grafted in, because God has the power to graft them in again.”

    Conclusion

If the world is to respond to God’s plan of salvation, the Gospel must be lived not just preached!

Romans 2:4 “Or do you despise the riches of His kindness, not recognizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?”

  • Llamados a Venir e Ir

    1. Siempre deberíamos de estar cambiando.

    2. Hay un orden que seguir.

    3. Debemos tomar acción

  • Called to Come and Go

Summary: Last week, we talked about committing ourselves to our LORD Jesus Christ.

Key Verse:   John 15:8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

Main Point: As Christians and disciples of Jesus Christ we glorify God when our lives bear much spiritual fruit.

Galatians 5:13-15    13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh[a]; rather, serve one another humbly in love.14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”[b] 15 If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.

Being Called to “Come and Go” means:

    1. We should always be in a state of change

    2. There’s an order to follow

    3. We must take action
