After defeating Goliath, David meets Saul's son Jonathan and the two become great friends. Soon Saul becomes envious of David's popularity and success and begins to make attempts on his life. In this tumultuous season of David's life, we watch how Jonathan models godly friendship.

In the best-known story of David, we see his courageous faith in our faithful God.

David's story is one of the best-known in the Bible, but we often fail to realize that David's story is not about David. So what (or Who?) is this story actually about?

Perhaps the best-known letter of the seven in Revelation 2-3, Jesus' words to Laodicea are cutting and condemning. When He looks at this church, He finds a group that sees themselves as wealthy and self-sufficient while He sees a poor and pitiable church. To this church He writes to repent and respond to His invitation.

As Jesus addresses one of two churches with no correction, the church in Philadelphia is reminded of their strength in Christ in spite of their weakness.

The fortress of Sardis once believed itself to be impregnable. It was not until it let its guard down that the city was conquered. Similarly, this first-century church had become complacent in their faith, and the signs of their ruin were beginning to show.

The church in the blue-collar Thyatira was a church growing in its impact for the gospel of Jesus, but there was a significant problem in the church. Specifically, there was a false teacher that had been allowed to teach and impact the church in spite of her false doctrine.

In this study on the history of the church, we take a broad overview of the Middle Ages and examine what significant changes and developments took place in the church.

The church in Pergamum endured a great deal of persecution, including even the execution of one of its members. But when Satan realized that persecution would not dissuade this early church, he turned to something more subtle, compromise. By making it easy to submit to the idols of the day, the church in Pergamum found itself drifting away from the One who saved them.
