No matter who you are, I can say one thing about you with confidence: at some point in your life, you were a child. Regardless of the circumstances of our upbringing, we each carry with us memories of being a child. Our experiences during childhood can have a tremendous impact our adulthood, for better or worse.
It shouldn't be a surprise that the Bible has a lot to say about children. In a practical sense, we see clear parenting instructions throughout Scripture, as well as specific teaching directed towards children. In a spiritual sense, however, the Bible uses the concept of childhood to define our relationship with God. What does it mean to be a child of God?
This week, we will continue in our series on Romans, Live By Faith, by looking at one of the most famous passages in all of Scripture. In the first portion of Romans 8, Paul delivers some breathtaking truths about the effect of Jesus' death and resurrection has on believers.
