Have you ever felt like building a strong community around your brand and mission seemed impossible? Or even just really, REALLY hard?
You're not alone, dude.
So many of us want MORE than just followers.
Seeing that number grow can definitely feel good, because you know that your message is getting out there, BUT… is it really affecting those followers in the way you hope? Do they understand what you do and why it's so important?
The key to any successful business is having a COMMUNITY behind it that understands the vision and supports the mission.
And that starts with YOU and how you show up as a leader for your brand.
Come hang out with my teammates Caitlyn and Jaime as we discuss everything team building, strategy, and business!
"But wait ... can't I just file a thing and get a trademark?"
"This trademark application looks super simple. What could go wrong here?"
GAHHHHHH!!!!
Listen - I get it. I'm all for keeping things simple in business. And it can be SO EASY to overcomplicate things. (Don't you just hate it when lawyers always respond to your questions with, "It depends"?)
But the truth is that most trademark applications run into some kind of roadblock along the way. And if you decided you want to secure these foundational protections for your business name and brand, I'd hate for you to waste time and money by making avoidable mistakes in the process.
So what are the biggest reasons why a trademark application gets rejected?
Have you guys seen the trademark news about Walmart and Kanye!?
At first I thought it was just another ridiculous Yeezy headline… turns out it's totally legit!
AND it has to do with the number one reason trademark applications get denied.
You've hired Indie Law to handle your trademark..
You've given us the name, slogan, or logo you want protected..
And we've done our comprehensive search for it..
BUT, there's a snag: our findings show that there are too many red flags with that specific trademark and we don't recommend moving forward with it.
And you're like...Uuuh WTF!?
Dude. I get it. That's worst-case-scenario for you (and most other biz owners)!
But have no fear!! At Indie Law, we NEVER leave our clients hanging.
So…what happens next??
