Hey Riverside! Podcast 0119: Riverside Weekend series with Ralph Torres and Patrick Maloney. The big cheese of this weekend's events is the Riverside Art & Music Festival which features locals Castle Pines and Naive Thieves (but alas, no local headliner). Stargaze indoors at RCC or outdoors at the Heritage House's Chinese Moon Festival. Our friends at the Riverside Airport host a huge craft beer fest presented by Inland Empire brewers and the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center has their 19th annual Comedy Night fundraiser at the RMA starring Tom Papa. Magnolia Center Fridays bring the Marketplace on Sunnyside Drive...a great place to spend a sunset and where you'll be seeing Hey Riverside return next week. It's all just getting started...get in and hold on tight!

Hey Riverside! Podcast 0117: Riverside Profile series with Tim Brown, radio personality. From Ralph: Last week we welcomed Tim Brown to El Rancho Relaxo to sit in on a Weekend show and we talked him into sticking around for a Riverside Profile interview. Tim is my oldest friend...we can trace a common line all the way back to Room K1 at Victoria School. Through the years we've both had opportunity to work at the things we love...and Tim's work has taken him on his own completely individual set of adventures and trials. In 2009 Tim experienced simple and sudden health emergency that suspended (and then eliminated) a happy and prosperous lifestyle. It's a harrowing story that is uniquely American...a 'free market' disaster that could happen to any of us. The good news is that all of this didn't keep Tim down. After a long struggle back to good health he has collected his new opportunities and victories into a strong rebound that has landed him back on the air at the Inland Empire's KCAL-FM and KOLA-FM. It was a real treat have Tim on the shows and Patrick and I look forward to another visit soon!
