For WK8 of the season we take a little trip down Chicago Bear's history with the future hall of fame kicker - Robbie Gould! 

This was our first time really having a chance to get to know Robbie and we are so glad to finally have the opportunity. We go deep into mindset, handling adversity and how to stay centered through difficult transitions. 

Our MVP, Merging Vets & Players, guest's path has taken him from the USMC, to MMA fighting and now to the Program Director of MVP Chicago. Oscar Kush shares his journey of betting on himself, combating loneliness and helping others to do the same.

WK 7 (game 6) - 49ers host COLTS: This week the Niners host the 2-4 Indianoplis
Colts. In recognition of our game with the Colts, and continuing with our military and first
responder guests, Emma & George sits down with his uncle Pat Coen, who is the superintendent
of schools in Burlington Iowa, who also served 21 years with the Iowa National Guard
member with 2 tours Duty in his experience. We also talk with Emma & George’s cousin Matt
 Henss, who is in his 26th year with the Indianapolis Fire Department.

Special Guests
Pat Coen: 
Pat is a retired Colonel of the US Army Iowa National Guard having
served 21 years including 2 tours, one in Afghanistan in 2005-2006; and then before that
he was stationed in Germany in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 1991. He just
recently announced his resignation from his current position as Superintendent of Schools
in Burlington Iowa. He graduated from Iowa Wesleyan College with a BS in Elementary
Education. He also holds a Masters of Science degree and a specialist degree from Drake
 University in Educational Leadership. He taught and coached for 10 years in Mt Pleasant
Iowa. He has also served as a middle school principal, head principal of an alternative
high school, an elementary principal, and as Superintendent of schools in Winfield Iowa.
Most importantly, Pat is married to Emma & George’s mom’s sister Jenna and they have 4 kids.

Matt Henss - Indianapolis Fire Department
Matt is the Deputy Chief for Planning with the Indianoplis Fire
Department and oversees the Community Risk Reduction Bureau. This Bureau is
responsible for fire investigations, 911 calls, Fire and Life safety, Public Education,
Inspections, Planning, Performance and Compliance, and the Emergency Management
Liaison. Matt has been with the IFD for 26 years, starting back in 1995 as a firefighter.
Prior to becoming the Planning Chief he also served as Firefighter, Engineer, Company
Officer, and Executive Office. Matt has an Associate Degree in Fire Science and a
 Bachelor’s Degree in Management. Matt also has advanced training in leadership
development and is working to complete his six sigma black belt. Matt is George’s cousin
through Emma & George’s mom’s sister. He is married to Rena and they have 2 kids. We welcome
both of them to the show.

This week we get ready to join the 49ers under the red hot Arizona sun as they face off against the 4-0 Cardinals. 

We are so excited to FINALLY be welcoming Kyle Juszczyk to the show. Kyle shares his story from growing up in Ohio, to transitioning to Harvard where he still holds many records, and then earning his spot in the NFL and being a Pro-Bowl full back for the last 5 years. For our fashion segment he is joined with his beautiful and talented wife Kristin. 

Our MVP guest is co-founder Nate Boyer. He is a former American football long snapper and United States Army Green Beret. He is also an occasional actor. After serving six years and multiple tours for the Army in both Iraq and Afghanistan, Nate played college football as a walk-on at the University of Texas despite never having played a down of organized football in his life. He was signed by the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2015. Nate founded MVP with Jay Glazer, and is actively involved in the organization and its outreach to veterans, as well as other charitable activities. 

We are sending 6 AZ National Guard members to the game. Our team leader of the week is 1SG Richard Soto. He is joined with First Sergeant Ruiz, Staff Sergeant Barraza, Sergeant De La Peña , Staff Sergeant West and Sergeant First Class Taylor. Thank you for your service and we hope you enjoy the game!

He shares his story of fleeing Afghanistan to find refugee in the United States and what it meant to him to return to his home country as one of the first 300 boots on the ground in Afghanistan after 9/11 as a US Marine.
