On a bus, as a boy, a passage I had never learned rose up in me, whole: they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. It has walked with me ever since — and slowly it has taught me that waiting is not lying down. It is the hardest, most active thing there is. And the door we spend our lives waiting on may not open the way we imagine. It opens inward.
We have become so caught up in doing that we no longer return to being. Yet everything in life pulses — it goes out, and it comes in — and the coming in is not idleness but the way we are nourished. A reflection on presence, the rhythm we have lost, and the healing that is already within reach.
Many of us want to be fixed. Very few want to be healed. A reflection on the difference — and why healing, not just the fix, is the deeper invitation.
This reflection contrasts personal stillness with the violence and upheaval present in the wider world. It acknowledges that human destruction is not new, but part of an ongoing cycle across history. From that recognition emerges a deeper spiritual insight: humanity may be moving through a kind of vibrational or dimensional separation, where some are being drawn toward higher consciousness while others remain bound in fear and division. This separation is not about chosenness or exclusion, but about gathering spiritual energy for the healing of the whole. The invitation is to do the inner work necessary to rise in awareness, love, and purpose.
Do not let this Holy Week pass as mere ritual. Enter it. Remember yourself. And ask what it means, here and now, to be about the business of the Divine.
In this reflection for Lent and Ramadan, we consider what it means to live in a world marked by war, noise, and uncertainty. The invitation in not to escape the world, but to turn inward, to seek peace within, and to listen more deeply for the work that is ours to do.
In this reflection, we consider the tension between humanity’s rapid technological advancement and the slower maturation of the human soul. As we become increasingly disconnected from nature, we risk losing the inner harmony that sustains life. This meditation invites us to pause, look inward, and rediscover our place within the balance of the natural world, remembering that the growth of humanity begins with the maturation of the soul.
You are already a preparation for God — like the mountain, the tree, the stream.
Nothing needs to be added. Something may need to be released.
Two questions to sit with:
• What parts of my life have formed around survival rather than truth?
• What might soften or fall away if I allowed myself simply to be?
Offer as little resistance as possible — to your own growth and to the growth of others. Remember that the one who irritates you, the one who lashes out, the one who seems lost or angry — they too are growing. We are shaping one another’s journeys, even when we do not realise it.
May this year unfold in such a way that you are allowed to glimpse the majestic truth of who you are becoming.
