Some big stuff happening at the end of Virgo season! We have our second new moon of the season along with a Solar Eclipse at Virgo 29° - all just before our Equinox on the 22nd. What can we make of this?! Start by checking where you're Virgo placements are located in your birth chart. Do have any placements that are 29°, the Anaretic Degree? My natal Pluto is Virgo 29° - giving me a strong affinity relating to the culmination of the Pluto in Virgo generation.

Consider your mastery with regard to Virgo - what is your culmination around themes of health and service? Which areas of health is vying for your attention right now? Physical, mental, emotional, social, financial, spiritual… where do you need to broaden your awareness? How can you reveal what may be hidden or out of view? This will inform your latest course of action. Are you feeling the need for a solid plan? Are you at a peak position of weighing pertinent considerations for your decision making?

Nurture your goals in these areas. What goals need some tweaking? If you're not succeeding with previous goals, don't scrap them completely. Make necessary changes to help you succeed. This is time for thoughtful course correction. If the previous Lunar Eclipse cleared some space, what is filling up that space now? Is it where you wish to place your time and attention?

This week's discussion is less about Astrology and more about our media space and current events. Still, there some associations to Saturn re-entering Pisces, and being between the Pisces Full Moon/ lunar eclipse and the upcoming solar eclipse.

Since today is September 11th, I thought I'd speak to the 24th anniversary of those events and how society is faring. Acknowledging this, in combination with the tragic, public shooting of Charlie Kirk yesterday. Events like these have a huge impact on social media and all of us taking in the information shared there. I've been online so much the past 24 hrs, even while know the diminishing returns in doing that. I wanted to see the many reactions and varying responses. Assemble some kind of collective cohesion of what happened and the effects within our broader networks.

I'm surprised at how many people go online so quickly to share as succinctly as they're doing. I usually need days to process these kinds of things. So, I thought I'd do some of that with today's podcast. To work through the thoughts with you all. To share my broader perspectives about what online relating has become for many of us. I'm really curious with how much of what I share here resonates, as I think it's such an important discussion to continue. Would love to hear your thoughts.

On Sunday, September 7th we have our Pisces Full Moon, which happens to be a lunar eclipse. So, in addition to our Pisces influences within Virgo season, we have a new "eclipse season" to account for. Having a lunar eclipse this weekend and a solar eclipse in two weeks, allows for some projection into the next six months as to what may transpire for you.

First, you can set your attention to the full moon, and the Pisces goodness that comes with it. The full moon will be in conjunction with the current North Node placement. Due to Saturn going retrograde on September 1st, we have more Pisces energy to contend with. Remember the first months of 2025, when we had Saturn and Neptune in Pisces. Well, we'll be closing out the year with both planets retrograding into Pisces! I'm looking to speak more to the significance of those placements in coming weeks. For now, it further emphasizes what the Pisces Full Moon can bring to focus?

With this full moon, consider what can bring closure. What topics do you feel are near completion? What can you "give to the moon" to clear space for what will need your attention next? With attunement to Piscean themes, this may stir up your emotions. Open yourself up to it! Have your buoys and anchors available for support as you go. Be aware of any after-effects of overwhelm or possibility of getting swept out to sea.

This is a great time to do your inner work - soul searching and/or shadow integration. Checking in with your intuition, exploring your range of empathy and sensitivity. You can tap into your imaginal space and see what you can bring down to earth. Working in tandem with Virgo attributes of routine and productivity. What combination works for you to strike your balance for doing and being?

Today I'm inspired to discuss how we can use astrology as a grounding force in our lives. I ask myself, "What does exploring astrology each week do for me?" It grounds me and brings me focus. It's a wonderful antidote to the other external impositions occurring in the world. I prefer to maintain attention toward astrology over the media onslaught that comes with online consumption. Astrology allows me to foster an additional level of security.

In the spirit of Virgo season, I'm checking in with how I'm organizing this Substack space. It's amazing to build an archive of content here. Although I'm mindful of not creating content for the sake of just distributing more content. I want it to be valuable to you and have a positive influence in your life. There's so much content out there, more than any of us can get to. I'm mindful of the role too much consumption can play in our lives.

So yes, I've been reflecting on what I've been doing with these solocasts here on Substack. From my vantage point, I enjoy discussing the topics I like to talk about through the lens of the astrological happenings of each week. We have our Virgo New Moon happening on Saturday August 23 (with another occurring September 21). That's two new moons in Virgo season this year woohoo! What are the advantages of this happening?

For starters, let's be mindful about the seeds of intention we're planting. Honor the essence of Virgo, and get practical with some S.M.A.R.T. goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-based). Then you can check in with them at the 2nd new moon in a month and see if you need any tweaking to your goals & strategy.

Take note of where in your life you can produce measurable results. Check in with your daily routine and your daily thought patterns. You can use this Virgo season to take inventory of what working and what's not working. Are you sensing what might be missing? How can you work towards getting it?

Uranus is in Gemini, which is square this Virgo New Moon. This can be an indicator of some tension between innovative free-spiritedness and practical accountability. You might prefer to not be bound by routine and rules. But remember, your chosen structures and routines will all you the foundation for your creativity and innovations to manifest. So, take advantage of this Virgo season to get focused on what will assist your foundation for health and maintaining your well-being.

Leaning into our Aquarius Full Moon over the next day or two, what can you spotlight? How do you feel about detachment? What connotations do you have with detachment? Within our networks detachment is good for perspective. Shadow sides can be avoidance, lack of empathy, and bypassing. Let's see what the benefits of intentional detachment can be. Zooming out to the group dynamics and context assisting the collective.

The outer planets are in the beginning degrees of their signs. Symbolizing a sense of initiation, sensing new things stirring up in our broader networks. Along with the full moon in Aquarius, we have Pluto in it's first of 20 yrs in Aquarius. This is our opportunity to personalize this collective shift. Pluto is also one of the three planets in our air sign Grand Trine that's occurring. Along with Uranus in Gemini and Mars in Libra. This gives us some harmony in the broader setting of communication and socializing.

There's some opposition occurring too. With Mercury in Leo, opposite the Aquarius full moon, there might be some conflict with wanting to speak and radiate from the Leo subjective perspective. So how can you work some of the Aquarian objectivity into that equation. And Mars moving into Libra aspects the Grand Trine for the air signs, Mars has also placed itself in opposition to Saturn (and Neptune, both in Libra). This brings some attention to our malefic planets, Mars and Saturn, which may bring about unrest or destructive component to the otherwise harmonious setting.

If you're anticipating our upcoming Leo Season, you may be feeling a bit delayed or derailed. In addition, to Cancerian nurturing energy wanting you to slow down, today begins our Mercury Retrograde in Leo. Retrograde can bring reminders to take things more slowly and shift perspective away from the busy-ness outside of you. Choosing to go internal rather than looking to take action to forceable influence external.

As I was considering what to discuss today regarding this shift from Cancer season to Leo season, I saw this butterfly just chilling on a flower. As you know, butterflies love to flutter and flitter all about, they too have moments of chill and stillness. With this in mind, where are you at? What's it like for you these days with slowing down? Been hearing from others in my network about feeling tired - we all have our unique relationship with productivity and how we respond if things feel like they're moving too fast.

Allow some space around this Mercury Retrograde in Leo. There's something you may need to know, that you may hear more clearly when having slowed down. You may sense that there's something that can only be conveyed through you and your unique perspective. I feel this in my work and it's a blessing to get a sense that I'm aligned with what I do when I hold space with others. Full moon in Capricorn this week, while in Cancer sun season. What's showing up for you with this coupling?

Cancer season wanting you to embrace life, find ease of flow, nurturing oneself and others. Capricorn reminding of some of the harder edges, honoring practicalities and responsibilities. Sometimes there are harsher realities to face, along with learning from mistakes.

Taking note of the broader relationship of opposing signs. Less so as opposition or in conflict with each other. Moreso a symbiosis, a way to fill gaps when paired together. While the opposite sign creates some polarity, it's another entry point to gain perspective. Rather than being contradictory to each other, how can they work together? How can you hold the tension of opposites, without collapsing inside of it?
