Happy Libra Equinox everyone!

It feels like I’m experiencing an Astrological Rorschach test! Every time I look at this week’s transit chart, I’m seeing something different. This happens from time to time, of course - depending on which placements and aspects you’re looking at, you take on that vantage point. I’m likely noticing it more this week as there are major aspects speaking to themes that have already been occurring throughout the year.

Arriving on the other side of the Equinox, the big news is the Harvest Full Moon occurring on September 26th. It’ll be placing around 03° Aries, right alongside our Neptune placement. Yes, Neptune’s latest residency in Aries - remember back in February we had the big Saturn/Neptune conjunction in Aries as we started the year of the Fire Horse. Well, this is a perfect time to check in with that thread. Are you needing any updates as to how you thought this year would be progressing?

The Full Moon is already emotionalized, and with Neptune there will likely be even more depth and breadth. A possible piercing of a veil if you’re so inclined to bring insights from the dreamscape or infuse some metaphysical gleanings to your process. Theres are calls to speak about your process and gather your thoughts and reframes as there’s a Grand Air Trine occurring this weekend, consisting of the Sun (in Libra), Pluto (in Aquarius) and Uranus (in Gemini). This Grand Air Trine is also part of a Kite formation, whose apex is... guess where?! Where the Full Moon and Neptune are hanging out with each.

As if this weren’t enough reason to dive into the broader emotional story, we have Chiron retrograding back into Aries. Chiron back for more closure, who’s journey in Aries started in 2018. You may notice some narrative arcs coming up spanning the course of the last 7 or 8 years. The personalization of the wounded healer archetype can be part of the Full Moon reflection. This Chiron placement is square to Mars in Cancer (T-square to Mercury in Libra). So yeah, more activating points reminding that actions won’t be void of emotion. Or void of story. So, keep doing the inner work, and reconstruct your story. Truthfully, mindfully, compassionately. Be inspired to share.

We have a Virgo New Moon this week! I’ve been gradually feeling into Virgo season, how about you? After the Lunar Eclipse I was sifting through all sorts of different feelings, bringing up some delays and dismays. Leading right into last week’s Mars (in Cancer) square with Saturn (in Aries). Sometimes things bubble over and they override your best laid plans for the week, right? Well, the strength-building comes from how we react to those instances.

No worries, we eventually get back on track, right? This week feels much more aligned with the Virgo energy. September replete with “back to school” vibes. Satisfying the desire for getting organized and putting things in their given places. How’s this month coming along for you? Are you feeling practical and productive? Putting forth your chosen structures and methodologies.

We also have Uranus stationing retrograde in Gemini on the same day as the New Moon. Can you expect some disruption with your best laid plans? Hmm, Uranus, getting ready for its first retrograde in Gemini, has something to say about that. Well, let’s embrace it then! Don’t let any of the disruptions throw you off course. Get back on track, even choose your distractions if you like. There’s room for both!

At the 27:00 minute mark, I shift topics acknowledgment the 25th Anniversary of the attacks on September 11th. Much more can be said to honor the tragedy, but I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to share some thoughts. I try my best to be diplomatic about the topic, while I think it’s important to be transparent about one’s authentic thoughts. I believe every year we move from that event, the more people need to speak freely in their quest for the truth.

After an eventful Leo season and recent Solar Eclipse, we’ve entered Virgo season and a Lunar Eclipse is upon us. The Solar Eclipse brought a strengthening energy - potential for a powerful rebirth. Perhaps something developing stronger within you, pertaining to your life force, talents and creativity. Are you calling this in?

With the Lunar Eclipse at Pisces 5° tomorrow, the energies are about moving on and letting go. Your feelings are around coming to terms with what’s left behind when moving forward. As Pisces would have it, there’s a sense of impermanence to emotional completion. Yet, you’re able to feel some emotional resolution as part of an ongoing process. This eclipse may feel more intense, especially for the mutable signs of Pisces, Gemini, Virgo and Sagittarius.

Are you going to allow yourself to dive into the pool of a moon in Pisces realm? If so, you may tap into your subconscious or access messages from the dreamscape. You may bring something from the background, or hidden, to the forefront. Consider what insight you’re meant to get from it. Weave it into what’s becoming.

Are you wondering how to remain grounded as you lean into this? You’ll have the Sun and Mercury in Virgo to help your stability. Sure, there may likely be an eccentric jolt here or there, due to the square with Uranus in Gemini. How was your experience with last week’s Solar Eclipse in Leo?! We’ve had such an up-roar-ious Leo season, there’s been lots of cool astrology to focus on. From looking at the bigger pictures, to then note simpler movements amongst the personal planets. Acknowledging how some transits might get overshadowed by more prominent aspects. Like barely noticing how last week we also had Mars move into Cancer.

As someone with a natal Mars in Cancer, I like to explore this transit when it happens. It’s taken me most of my adult life to configure what this means to me personally. For those with different Mars placements, you can look at this transit from the perspective of Mars approaching whatever Cancer placements you have. Or consider what the Mars archetype brings when it’s a guest in this Cancerian setting. Societally, these two sensibilities are often kept separate. Culture having set standards on what’s warrior-like. What does the blending of Mars and Cancer look like for you? Any conflicts at home, any threats to self-care? Does the Mars energy feel too forceful?

This juxtaposition reminds me of a growing understanding around power vs. force. The process of considering what empowerment looks like for you. How authentic power shows up in you? And to consider what this looks and feels like when compared to force. What does force look like for you? Are you trying hard to make things happen? (exerting external force) Are you trying to do things that aren’t authentic to your style, mode, or methodology? (exerting internal force)

Mars will be in Cancer until the end of September, so you have several weeks to explore these energies. There’s a “go with the flow” aspect in Cancer but remember there’s also a cardinal component, so you’ll want to find inspiration to lead yourself amidst the flow. Honing your clear intentionality toward the deliberate actions you’ll take. Sensing the embodiment of your emotions in the process. Your empowerment emanates and you can catch yourself when things are feeling forced.

So much is happening this Leo season! And a solar eclipse is upon us, Wednesday, August 12th. Occurring in Leo at 20° - so soon after the Moon’s nodes shifted to the Leo/Aquarius axis. How is this affecting you? Whether you have Leo and Aquarius placements or not, this is something you’ll want to lean into.

You can explore a concentrated aspect of your life that needs closure. Allowing pathways for you to change direction. Do you give yourself permission to change direction? You don’t have to throw everything away, but you may need to change the ratio of what you’re currently doing. Is there anywhere you’re feeling stuck or uninspired? Or maybe you’re sensing somewhere you’re needing to break a pattern? When the lights switch off for the solar eclipse, consider what change can take shape as things are turned back on.

The name of the game for this Solar Eclipse is to find some time for stillness. Find a way to quiet the mind. Turn it all off - even if only for 5 or 10 minutes. Grant yourself this opportunity to be silent so that you can hear whatever calling may come through for you. Usually when there’s a New Moon, it’s recommended to set intentions. With the strong energy of the Solar Eclipse, you may want to hold off on doing that on this day.

We just had the Sun and Jupiter conjunction earlier in Leo season, so that was already a potent time for expanding intention. For now, lets’ take this opportunity to step out of your daily thought tracks and see what bubbles up. Allow for whatever divine message is meant to come through. It may be integral info about what steps you’re meant to take next.

Last week, the moon’s nodes shifted to the Leo/Aquarius axis. With the North Node in Aquarius, you delve further into Aquarian-coded evolution. It acts as a compass point toward destiny. With navigational rotation, you can also look through the lens of the South Node to assess the karmic lessons that Leo has brought you. The juxtaposition of using the nodal perspectives for understanding obtained mastery, while engaging your willingness to move ahead toward new unfolding experiences.

Are you leaving your Leo-infused ego behind? Working through the South node allows you to release who you used to be. Overcoming challenges to fall back into previously carved grooves that can leave you feeling like you’re spinning your wheels. Do you feel regression or relapse? Are you habitually circling around the lessons already learned? Find intention and deliberate action toward the North Node sensibility. When guided by your North Node, a natural consequence will be the loosening of ties tethering you to what’s meant to be left behind.

The last time humankind saw the North Node in Aquarius, Pluto entered Capricorn (back in 2008). You may experience some cosmic cyclic rhyming that harkens back to those times. This can be part of your South Node in Leo shadow work, or simply recognition of a through-thread as you advance into the Aquarian era. This shift may affect you personally, especially if you’re have a nodal return. The nodes affect everyone on a collective level. As it’s the next step in our generational advancement.

A large portion of the Boomer generation has the unique vantage point of being born during Pluto in Leo. With Pluto currently in Aquarius, they are part of a small cohort who are living to see Pluto on both sides of a Zodiacal axis. This has me very curious about how these next 18 months going to transpire. Who’s going to double down with mantras like “That’s what we’ve always done things,” and who’s going to be able to let go of what is no longer working for us? As each individual explores these opposing tensions, the collective projection gets informed reshaped. Who will loosen their grip? Will there be allowance for the sovereign, decentralization processes to flow?

With Jupiter in Leo, this Leo season has an even bigger roar. Inspiration radiating at high levels. Are you noticing awareness around what lights you up? As was noted with Barbault’s Basket configuration last week, when an astrology transit highlights notable aspects, it’s much more than just an event. This week, we have the Sun meeting Jupiter in Leo and the Full Moon meeting Pluto in Aquarius. This Jupiter Cazimi emanates whole-heartedness, indelible confidence and brilliant leadership. Let’s talk about Barbault’s Basket! Those into astrology are jubilant around this latest planetary configuration occurring this week. Four of the outer planets are forming what looks like a basket or a cradle. We could see it as a sacred trapezoid.

These influences could be felt strongest from July 18 - 23. As the planets are at a similar degree within their respective signs. Jupiter at 04° Leo, Uranus at 04° Gemini, Neptune at 04° Aries and Pluto at 04° Aquarius. This isn’t necessarily an event, rather another defining marker within an evolving process.

It’s been anticipated over the last few years to have all of the outer planets within signs of air and fire elements. We entered 2026 with Pluto already in Aquarius. In January, Neptune entered Aries (soon joined by Saturn). In April, Uranus went back into Gemini. And a few weeks ago, Jupiter entered Leo.

So what does this Cradle of Air and Fire mean to you? Well, that depends… what elements do you share the strongest affinity? There’s so much exciting astrology to talk about for the upcoming weeks, yet I feel called to acknowledge today’s new moon in Cancer first. As the moon is the ruler of the sign of Cancer, we must honor this new moon and what this brings for us, right? How will you be honoring this new moon?

You can use this new moon as an opportunity for an emotional reset. Check-in with your nurturing habits - self-awareness, self-care, nurture for others. Mercury is retrograde and in conjunction with this new moon, so also take a careful look at your personal story you’re telling yourself. What does your inner dialogue sound like regarding nurture and care?

With Mercury having been square to Saturn, you may notice some negative self-talk around where your responsibilities are meant to lie. Do you notice a voice suggesting that some external responsibilities are more important than internal ones? How can you hold space for all your commitments to be honored? While monitoring the inner dialogue and extending your kindness and compassion to include your own thoughts.

We are in the year of the Fire Horse. As you gallop along, the upcoming astrology will offer reminders of the new settings you’re entering. As our outer planets are all placed within the elements of air and fire, what anchors you and balances you may change. The shifting has entered the next stage now that Jupiter has entered Leo. How is this shift resonating for you? I've been diving into the discussion around AI-generated content. My personal feed on IG and FB has continually given me reels and commentary that includes opinions for and against using AI-generated content. Which makes sense as I prefer to have commentary from all sides of an issue. I like hearing from those who are proponents for it and those who are opting out.

Although I noticed a shift around this topic on Substack. There, I came across a stronger stance against the use of AI. It's likely because some people pay for subscriptions on that platform, so they may feel duped into thinking that they're getting original content (and find out they aren't). So, there appears to be a growing concern on detecting and naming when AI-generated content is at play.

Which makes me ponder: who's responsible to detect and name? As with most things, there are pros and cons on how to proceed. As of right now the onus seems to be on the consumer. If you don't want to be consuming AI-generated content, then you have to determine this yourself. You can copy and paste samples of writer's articles into Grammarly or Originiality.ai and see what results come up from the content you're scanning.

To take it into your own hands, the formula to follow is to decide your own standard regarding the content you want to read. If you want to read original content from natural writers (and minimize your consumption of AI-generated content) then learn the tells that identify how it's written. Do this in addition to using the detection sites. Deciding your own standard around writing is like deciding your own standards of consuming processed foods at a grocery store.

Trust that you can figure this yourself if you want to. Another alternative is to continue to hope that the platforms themselves will do the detecting. I recently saw an instance where Meta indicated someone's post as "AI info" - but this was the only instance I saw of this kind of indication. In theory, one might think it would be cool if the platform identified this for you. But if such regulations are put into place, how accurately and consistently will they be enforced? Do you want to give this function to an external authority?

As I sift through some of the practical concerns, I'm also wondering about the overall tech zeitgeist we're traveling through. Are these technological advancements - while partially agreed upon regarding practical use - changing other cultural agreements within modern society? Are the advancements causing some previous societal standards to become outdated?

When it comes to content creation, those who've written professionally are more inclined to know there are standards when it comes to sharing content. As they wouldn't get paid if they didn't follow those standards. Whereas perception of standards can be different for common use, especially with how sharing on social media has grown over the years. Has the omnipresence of social media changed whether previous standards matter anymore?

What is the consensus today on what the standard is? Will something like the concern for plagiarism become obsolete? If the AI large language models are taking from things previously written isn't that overriding any principle one would have around plagiarism or "intellectual property"? As the technology distribution continues to progress, are we as a society getting beyond the point of even having those precious standards amidst these new trends.  

Someone may feel a particular principle or standard should be maintained around this. Yet, it's more likely that the behavior that's actually being practiced by the majority within society will shape what the accepted protocols are to be. The practices don't always match up with those standards. So if you're unable to change the practices (if the practices keep getting driven by the industry), then do the base principles need to change? These are some of the bigger questions at hand here.
