Been hearing a lot of talk about AI lately. Whether speculating about it in conversations, hearing about it on podcasts or gleaning commentary from random reels. Sure, the AI discussion is not new - it’s been on my radar for a while. I’m noticing it coming up more frequently though. So, I thought I’d jump into the conversation, as I believe my point of view is varied. I’m guessing this may only partially resonate with those who give a listen to what I have to say. As I’m not taking a hard stance for or against something (spoiler alert)

Although I state the claim that I don’t personally use AI to write or create. That’s what I choose for my process. As a writer for many years, I simply choose the natural process that I’ve been using. It hasn’t always been easy, and part of my ongoing challenge was to train my brain to collate my ideas and find coherency in how I choose my own voice in sharing about the given topic. Some people are choosing to outsource this part of the process. I think I understand why people would choose to do that. I also think it’s great to discuss these choices and how these things evolve.

Continual technological advancements change the setting to which we interact. So even if my behavior (or yours) stays the same, it may be perceived differently relative to those advancements. Hence, this latest nudge inspiring me to talk more about this publicly. Since the setting and framing has changed - and more technological advancements are being adopted by a larger selection of the population than before - assumptions can be made that writers are using LLM’s to assist their process. When in fact, not all writers are doing this. 

We may have reached a precipice in which natural writers have to qualify their writing methodology as prevailing assumptions continue. It’s reasonable to say, we’re at a point where these distinctions are fitting to be made. Since those who are using AI don’t have to claim they are, it’s blending into the pool of writers not using it. I’m sensing that the trend will continue where readers assume it’s used, even when it’s not. So, as a writer - if there’s a distinction you have to make about your process... make it!

This week’s astrology may have you split in multiple directions. Whatever directions show up for you, remember to go with the love and expansion! Yesterday, June 9th, brought us the Venus/Jupiter conjunction in Cancer. This aspect purports harmony, joy and cooperation. Can you allow your own positive thoughts and emotions to drown out the “noise” around you when needed. Not in a way that you’re bypassing reality, rather allowing yourself to go with the flow of what’s positive, uplifting and bringing you joy.

Yesterday also brought us Mercury (in Cancer) square to Saturn (in Aries). This may show up as less positive or desirable, but part of what’s happening for you. You’re totally allowed to contend with what this brings up too. Saturn may be insisting on some of the harsher, time-based truths you must contend with. Prompting Mercury to speak to the practical components and consequential nature of our time/space reality. Ok, accept it and own it. Then move on to what positively flowing. You can keep it real, just be careful not to over-react.

It’s Gemini season, so it’s par for the course to have split attention stemming from multiple dynamics. Gemini is the host of this party, and each faction wants to interact. Some are engaging with the Aries Fire Horse energy that arrived at the start of this Zodiac year. Now taking into account its surroundings, engaging with others, and formulating any course corrections. Also at this party is a bunch of Cancerian energy, reminding about compassion, support, and self-care.

So yes, it’s okay to have divergent thoughts and split emotions, whether at this Gemini season party or on any given day. You are the arbiter within all of your thoughts and emotions. What do you need to transmute to establish your own emotional wellbeing? This weekend Venus will be conjunct to Chiron, which will remind you to love and honor what has emotionally shaped you to be who you are today. We’ll also have the New Moon in Gemini. Perfect timing for planting seeds around your thoughts and outlook of what’s needed for you to continue moving forward.

After our beautiful Sagittarius Full Moon on Sunday, I’m feeling called to focus on another astrological centaur - Chiron! Until June 19th we have Chiron in Aries at 29° - the Anaretic degree enticing the culminating energies around the wounded healer. Chiron has been hanging out in Aries since 2018, so you may be feeling some of the effects of an overarching story arc.

The story of your individual wounding. During it’s time in Aries, Chiron has become more personalized. Have you connected to this part of yourself? The Aries energies may have led you to not wanting to rely or depend on the support of others. How are you with asking for help? Are you more likely to go about your challenges alone?

Chiron’s next residency in Taurus may change some of that. Before that you’ll have time for some more reflections about what your healing journey has been like for you. How it has shaped who you are now, and who you’re planning to become. A good portion of Gen X had their Chiron Return while Chiron was in Aries. Some born in 1968, and anyone born from Jan 30, 1969 - May 28, 1976 (and those born from Oct 13, 1976 - Mar 28, 1977) - these are the individuals whose birth charts were reflected by this recent Chiron in Aries period. That’s a lot of healing and a lot of stories to hear!

How’s your Gemini season coming along? We have a Sagittarius Full Moon this weekend on May 31st. Sagittarius calls in exploration around higher learning and belief systems. How might this expansion show up for you? How do you feel about your current beliefs? Have you noticed any limiting beliefs holding you back?

With the Gemini Sun and Uranus in Gemini, in opposition to the Sagittarius Full Moon, you’re asked to consider what reframes and upgrades are needed in order to step into who you’re intent on becoming. Uranus in Gemini wants you to maintain your individual flair within collaborations and social interactions. Encouraging shifts in perception, while maintaining your sense of self. Making room for the integration of new information and experiences to evolve your current beliefs when needed.

Sagittarius wants to be a strong leader, embodying the mutability factor that allows you to take on things from multiple directions. The fire horse that started in Aries is now finding itself within new settings. Pivoting in a 360 direction, taking in the feedback of your social surroundings. Making your chosen course correction inter-personally informed and fun! And yes, this may feel like slowing down comparative to single-pointed focus, but it’s worth it to “smell the roses” and engage the process.

You can look at your fire horse as the half-human/half-horse centaur (the symbols for Sagittarius). Bringing some human intellect and curiosity to the mission. As well as bringing heart, intuition and human connection. It’s not just about your chosen destinations, but the dynamic perspectives you’re gaining along the way. If there’s something holding you back, give it up to the moon! Come back to your inner alignment, and breath into your intentional expansion.

After planting seeds of intention with the Taurus New Moon on the weekend, the newly tempered Fire Horse is once again off to the races as we enter Gemini Season. Hopefully you’ve found some grounding and levity for the longer haul. Making adjustments for any course correction. We’re moving right along with the Zodiac!

This Gemini season is distinctly highlighted by Gemini’s newest resident, Uranus (whose transit there will last through May 2033!). With this, you’ll have another fun arc to latch onto if you so desire. Mercury entered Gemini on May 17th, and now the Sun is entering - each greeted by Uranus. The spotlight shines with accentuated themes of liberation, innovation, and disruption.

So, what’s your current experience with disruption? Are you feeling disrupted lately? When we look through the lens of attention and focus, disruption has become such a regular part of life. Do you agree? If so, the question becomes: how’s it feeling for you to be disrupted? Also, what is your experience with being a disruptor? Do you currently play the role of disruptor? If you’re not, is it a role you’d like to entertain?

For me, I see how disruptions can be seen as positive or negative - it’s relative to the behaviors being measured. So being a disruptor isn’t inherently negative. In such an overstimulating world, with tons of information coming our way, positive disruptors serve an important function. I’m sensing Uranus in Gemini will highlight this and give further guidance around how this shows up. Fitting nicely with the crossover of Pluto in Aquarius, and how the Aquarian and Uranian energies are resonating for you.

We have our New Moon in Taurus on Saturday, May 16th. Are you finding stability during this Taurus season? This is fertile time for calling in additional guidance around stability. How are you feeling about self-reliance and self-sufficiency?

Check in with want you want right now and what will assist your next chapter. Use this New Moon for potential grounding. Taurean energy includes wealth and material things - what you consider your valuables. It also can include your values, which creates your link to thoughts and expression and socializing. Attributes that link to Gemini energy. And we have the Mercury Cazimi tomorrow, with Mercury meeting up with the sun just before the moon does.

This combined Taurean energy with Gemini is also represented with the mutual reception between Venus and Mercury. We have Venus in Gemini (and Mercury in Taurus), bringing some joy and effervesce into the mix. Allowing a confidence and fervor for the precision of language and articulation of thought. The beauty of sharing and the championing of self-expression.

I have a natal Mercury at 29° in Taurus with my Gemini sun, so I’m drawn to the intrigue around these Taurus and Gemini combinations. I had a wonderful day visiting the ocean on the anniversary of my dad’s passing, another moment of mutual reception, connecting with his spirit. Then sharing about that experience with others. This week’s astrology has Pluto stationing before turning Retrograde. Pluto is square Mercury which may result in heightened desire for self-expression. Particularly around transformation and the process of bringing hidden things to the surface.

With this latest round of retrograde for Pluto in Aquarius, we’re granted an opportunity for deeper reflection and further inspection of what this new astrological era can mean for us. How is it resonating for you? Do you feel like you’re gradually moving into this new era? Or does the old era still have its hooks in you, slowing you down from making forward progress?

Mercury is in Taurus and Venus is in Gemini, allowing for mutual reception between the two. That’s a nice additional aspect to have while Mercury squares Pluto. The square will have you think and speak about what challenges you’re having and what you don’t want. Yet, due to Mercury’s mutual reception with Venus, you’ll want to note your ability for positive reframing. Be sure to flex some affirmation thinking, and as you actively, intentionally write the narrative you wish to see happen.

We also have Mars still lingering in Aries. Hopefully you’ve balanced all of the Aries energy from previous weeks. Mars will continue to want to take charge and forge ahead. Right now, with Mars square to Jupiter in Cancer, be sure not to push through forceable. You don’t want to overlook nurture and self-care in the process. Jupiter in Cancer wants you to weave more ease and care into the process, so take notice if you’re pushing too hard or burning yourself out.

May 1st brings a Scorpio Full Moon with lot of notable astrological aspects to consider. Finding some grounding in Taurus season, after our big influx of Aries energy. Although you may find a Full Moon in Scorpio to be more intense than grounding, it can be the just what you're needing to move through the emotions.

If there are any secret or repressed emotions, now is the perfect time to meet them. Can you address what you’ve been suppressing? Work through them and release them to the moon. If you’re someone who resonates strongly with sadness, sorrow and grief - what would it be like for you to shift through your emotional range? To move from despair, allowing your emotional guidance system to feel into anger and frustration on your way to higher vibrations. Can you allow yourself emotional movement?

This suggestion to feel anger isn’t a call to create conflict or violence in the world, but to move through those lower-level emotions up the emotional scale. Not to bypass your emotions, rather to honor them and transmute them. I find a great way to practice getting in touch with different points of your emotional range is to listen to music. Recalling what songs resonate with your angst - to speak to it and release it. Music heals on any emotional layers. Tap into songs that speak to the soundtrack of what you’re living.

There are several planets in Aries. If you’re still channeling the Aries energy, then be sure not to barrel through this full moon. Be mindful of your impulsivity. Mercury is also conjunct with Chiron in Aries, which will accentuate a need to express your experiences around our wounded healer. How are you expressing your healing journey? Yes, we’ve entered Taurus season! Although we’re still having such a build-up of Aries energy. This week’s astrology includes some notable transits with Mars. On the weekend we had Mars conjunct Saturn, then we had Mars conjunct Mercury. Making it a fun to consider what influence Mars has. Was there any conflict with Saturn? How have these aspects been showing up for you?

With Mercury, it’s great timing for expressing out loud what you want. The influence from Mars may have you declaring the action steps you’re taking to actualize your goals. Are you feeling challenged to have that kind of focused Aries expression? Is your Fire Horse taking strides, or are you “horsing around” in other ways?

As for Taurus, we still have Uranus at 29° - the final days of 7+ year stint there. Will you spend some time reflecting on what that period meant for you? Venus is there at 29° too, conjunct with Uranus. What a nice way for Uranus to end its Taurean run - having Venus lead the way into Gemini. Bringing some love and levity to the scene.

This brings Taurean reminders of how you’re defining, and using, your comfort zones. Comfort zone includes the state of being for you to feel stable and resourced. Taking note of your touchstones that allow you to remain steady with the principles you wish to practice in life. Uranus speaks to liberation and disruption.
