Audrey Kurger speaks with Dr. Robert Melamede who has a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from the City University of New York. Dr. Melamede retired as Chairman of the Biology Department at University of Colorado, Colorado Springs in 2005, where he continues to teach and research cannabinoids, cancer, and DNA repair. Dr. Melamede is recognized as a leading authority on the therapeutic uses of cannabis, and has authored or co-authored dozens of papers on a wide variety of scientific subjects. They talk about how he used his education to then turn and educate other about the importance of cannabis in medicine. Dr. Melamede also serves on the Editorial Board of The Journal of the International Association for Cannabis as Medicine, the Scientific Advisory Board of Americans for Safe Access, Sensible Colorado, Scientific Advisor for Cannabis Therapeutics as well as a variety other of state dispensaries and marijuana patient advocacy groups.

Audrey Kerger talks to Martha Montemayor a Certified Nutritional Consultant in Denver, Colorado. Through Healthy Choices Unlimited, she has helped over 20,000 people join the Colorado Medical Marijuana Registry with medical cannabis evaluations throughout the state. She is the Director of Cannabis Clinicians Colorado, a non-profit professional society dedicated to supporting the brave people working with Colorado medical cannabis patients with high-quality accredited education. They speak about what brought her into the cannabis idustry and what made her so passiopnate about it in the first place. His almost 40 year professional experience in the drug abuse treatment and prevention field includes being the Co-Director of the Haight-Ashbury Drug Treatment Program, being a member of Governor Reagan’s Inter Agency Task Force on Drug Abuse, a member of both the Santa Barbara and the San Diego County Drug Abuse Technical Advisor Committees, and a consultant to Hoffman-LaRoche, Santa Barbara County Schools and the National PTA. He has been recognized by the Santa Barbara Medical Society with the Humanitarian Recognition Award.

One of the most clinically knowledgeable physicians in the U.S. in the field of medicinal marijuana. He has spent 40 years working in substance and drug abuse treatment and prevention programs. Dr. Bearman was a pioneer in the free and community clinic movement. His career includes public health, administrative medicine, provision of primary care, pain management and cannabinology.
