They say "The more you sweat in training, the less you bleed in battle."
2018 & 2019 I did a hell of a lot of training, and although I didn't know 2020 would be a battle, it was good to be well prepared, especially mentally.
Two or so years ago I decided to dedicate 2+ hours of both mental and physical training, every day.
It was more of an experiment based on 'what would my life look like' if I got exceptionally disciplined with mindset rituals.
Physical training was the easy part because I've always done that.
Meditation, mindfulness, focus & flow state, stress management, cold showers, detaching from outcomes, visualization, breath work.
I also spent an immense amount of time learning about how the brain works and how thoughts create emotions which create behaviors which create outcomes.
I didn't know it, but I was creating an arsenal of tools that I could use in battle.
Maybe I shouldn't say 2020 was the battle, because it could be so much worse, but at the very least it was a good stress test.
What I learned is there is no question that spending time training your mind will be to your advantage in both good times and bad.
If 2020 kicked your ass, now is the time to start training your mind.
