A police badge and uniform to show authority and identification. Like this, Christians put on Christ to show our identity (Gal. 3:27). We are disciples (learners) of Christ!

Corinthians Letters (lesson 2) - The letter to Christians in Corinth began with the question of allegiance to the person who baptized you. Then in verse 1:18, Paul interrupted himself and picked this idea up again in chapter 3. Therefore, this lesson covered chapter 3 and in the next lesson returned to chapters 1 and 2.

Samson was one of the judges of Israel. He was primarily renowned for his great strength. But there were some shady things that Samson did which we can learn from. For instance, do you care more about physical fitness or spiritual fitness?  The Lesson Text is Judges chapters 13 through 16.

This class introduced a verse-by-verse study of Paul's letters to the Christians in Corinth. Text covered in this class session was 1 Corinthians 1:1-18.

For this 24th lesson on our series on the book of Acts, the instructor taught verse-by-verse from Acts 19 which tells about Paul's teachings on the third missionary journey. Starting in verse 5, Bill Wallace reviewed the question raised about the baptism of John (the Baptist). Is it important for a person to be baptized for the correct reason? Yes! Other topics in this chapter include exorcism and the practice of magic. This lesson stops at verse 25.

From the text in 2 Cor. 5:1-11, let us think through Jesus love for sinners as expressed through the dark days between Jesus' death and resurrection. The despair, gloom, and fear felt by the followers was vast. The resurrection brought even more emotion--relief, amazement, joy!

Paul's closing words to the Christians at Thessalonica include his admonition to work to feed yourself and to do good to others in the name of the Lord. Text is 2 Thes. 2:13 to the end of chapter 3. This concludes the series on Paul's Letters to the Thessalonians.

Christians around the world remember this as the traditional day when Jesus Christ entered the city of Jerusalem to the triumphant shouts of happy people. Thanks to the celebratory palm branches placed on the ground for Jesus' little donkey to walk on, this is known as Palm Sunday.

This sermon focuses on the cross (crucifixion) of Jesus and why it is so important to Christians. Our relationship with God is based on the blessings that came through Jesus' death on the cross.

The final verses of 1 Thessalonians 5 concentrate on Christian conduct. This class finishes the first letter and then moves into 2 Thessalonians through the end of the 1st chapter and to verse 13 of chapter 2.
