Nik Bartunek is the Creative Arts and Music Pastor at Highway. Today he shares the personal story of how God led him into vocational ministry and the connections that emerge in our lives when we look back and see how God was with us through all seasons.

The Gathering is an important annual milestone for The Highway Community. Today we look back on the ministry year we have completed, and look ahead to how we see God moving among us, as enter into the coming year.

As we continue in our summer series, “Eyes to See,” we reflect on the tendency many of us have in seeing our world with scarcity as opposed to seeing it with abundance. Jesus’ journey helps us to see with perspective, which allows us to recognize that there is abundance. This week we will be focusing on the perspective of Jesus in the feeding of the 4,000.

Jesus sees and enters into the grief of a beloved friend, even as he grieves, himself. As we see, empathize with, and share in heartache with the heartbroken, we extend a precious gift. Join us in a time of lament as we lift grief and sorrow to the God who weeps with us and for us.
