We continue in the stations of the cross this week by contemplating Jesus’ experience in the Garden of Gethsemane. What was the nature of his suffering, and why did it occur at the time that it did? What do we learn about how to handle crushing times in our own lives?

The Stations of the Cross is a long-standing church tradition that invites us as followers of Jesus to walk with Jesus, and enter into the suffering that he endured on the way to the cross. Our series will explore seven of Jesus’ stops along the way to the cross, tracing a theme that emerges from Jesus’ final meal with his disciples in the upper room.

Paul and Timothy’s final instructions to the church, and the personal greetings that conclude Colossians, highlight the praying, missional, and inclusive nature of a church that is centered on Jesus.
