This week we rehearse the story of our community, as we share about the ways that God is moving among us during a time of change and transition.

This week, we pause to create intentional space to reflect on and experience God’s enduring and gracious presence. As part of this pause, we will engage an ancient prayer practice called Lectio Divina. Lectio Divina, which means ‘divine reading’ in Latin, is a form of meditation which uses the reading of God’s word as a way of encountering him. May you experience God’s presence in today and in the coming week.

We take care of many things in our lives, but Moses says that the most important thing we can take care of is our soul. Join us as we step through each phrase in Deuteronomy 4:9 to see what it means to take care of our souls, why we should do it, and how we should do it. We will touch on examples including the “divine self,” spiritual practices, and a story that tells us of grace.

As we continue our series exploring what the book of Deuteronomy has to say about navigating transition, we consider the power of corporate witness, and how choosing to walk together empowers us to live into loving God with our whole selves, and loving our neighbor as ourselves.

After leading the nation of Israel through the story of their last 40 years in the wilderness, Moses urges them to be faithful to the covenant, and to "choose life" in the days ahead. As we look back at this last year, what will we do with what we find? What intentional choices is God calling us to make about what lies ahead?

Join us as we start a new series in the book of Deuteronomy as we explore what it has to say about times of transition. In this first week, we consider making space to stop, look back objectively on what we've just come through, and listen for what God is saying about it.

Through the sixth and final petition of the Lord's prayer, we are invited to admit our weakness and acknowledge our need for God's strength, before and during times of temptation. Jesus triumphs over temptation in the wilderness because he has drawn near to his Father and his word. In this way, we too can be fortified in and focused on God as we move beyond the Lenten season.

This week explore Jesus’ invitation to trust him to provide for us in the context of today.

How do we define God’s will? What does it mean to release our own agenda so we can live into God’s will for our lives? What practical tips can we learn from a time in Jesus’ life when he does this? Join us as we discuss the third petition in the Lord’s prayer and consider what it means to respond to this invitation together.
