Happy Pride Day to everyone. Pride month is celebrated every June as a tribute to those who were involved in the Stonewall Riots. In turn, many pride events are held during this month to recognize the impact LGBTQ+ community has had in the world.

In honor of Pride Day, we interviewed our tocaya Lizette (Wendy).
Wendy came to the U.S at a young age from Mexico and grew up in a traditional Catholic household. She shares the challenges she faced growing up while discovering that she had an attraction for females. Although coming out to her family was not easy, her determination to be her authentic self regardless of who supported her, has led her to create a beautiful life with her wife and daughters.
