The church has never been the place but the people, not a building but a body. Therefore, we don't go to church...we are the church!

Today marks the 44th anniversary of the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion throughout all nine months of pregnancy. And although last Sunday was technically "Sanctity of Human Life Sunday" because it's generally observed on the third Sunday of January, our pastor chose today to pose a thought-provoking question: "Am I pro-life or just pro-birth?" The two are not necessarily the same.

Beginning this Wednesday, January 11, and going through Sunday, February 19, our church will engage in 40 DAYS OF FASTING AND PRAYER. Today our pastor speaks to that emphasis by challenging our church family to let the physical hunger that comes with fasting awaken a spiritual hunger that only God can satisfy.
