This Sunday evening we are finishing notes from the story of Cornelius on the expansion of the Gospel into the heart of Gentiles. This sermon is speaking specifically to our prejudices, confronting them with the model of witnessing found in the book of Acts.

  Romans 1:16-20.  This morning's message seeks to shed light on the nature of God's light. We again make mention of verse 16, and the fact that The Gospel, that is the message and reality of The Light, is the power of salvation. This power is omnipotent, but not universal. Paul is now revealing that no man is without excuse for violating God's law. He has signed His name & existence on the very fabric of creation itself. Truly also, the law of God is written in the moral conscience within the heart of man as well.  All men have had some form of enlightenment to the reality of God, but not all men will accept it as what it is, nor Him for Who He is. To those who are seeking light, truly and earnestly, He will grant more light.

Acts 10:23-48 | Tonight's message focuses on the Breadth, the Message, and the Size of the Gospel.  The fact is that the Gospel IS for everyone. Contrasting this morning's message on the universally indicting witness of God within the realm and the conscience of man, there is likewise a universal outreach of Christ's salvific. Our focus tonight, however, is to encourage believers understand that, as well as rebuke those of us who carry prejudices into our witnessing or non-witnessing. There is no room for racism in the House of God. The reality is that there is but one race with many shades. God uses this story of Peter's admittal of wrong-thinking before Cornelius, a full-fledged Gentile, to teach us a timeless truth about the limitless reach of Christ's love and His Gospel.
