There is an old saying familiar to all of us.  Finish this well known phrase if you can.  "The Bigger They are, The Harder They Fall".

1.  Begin with God and Love Him

2.  Continue with What Matters Most to God

     Mark 12:32-33, 34  Jesus told this man he was not far from the

3.  End Above All Else with The Heart

     Mark 12:38-40, 41-44  Workers are just the Channel.  It's true,

                                    God wants performance, but only if the

                                    attitude of your heart is right in Him.

Augustine said, "We do not come to God upon our feet,

but upon our affections".

1. The Reaction

     Mark 11:27-28

        In the Temple, Mark is the only Gospel writer who records

        that Jesus stopped all the activity of the Priests in the Temple.

2.  The Question

        The ultimate question they present to Jesus is, "who gave you

        authority to do such things?"

3.  The Answer

     Mark 11:29-33

        Jesus answers a question with a question.  His question to

        them deals with John's baptism.

4.  The Dilemma

        Jesus shows us that the Religious Leaders are utterly

        dishonest by revealing that they really did not care whether

        John's baptism was from God or man.

        The lesson to learn today is what Jesus said actually came

        true, because it took place on the day of Resurrection, what

        the builders rejected became the chief cornerstone.  We are

        to build our lives upon Jesus.

2. Thoughts on Jesus Counseling the Overprivileged

     Mark 10:17-18...If you understand what good means

             you will understand that only God Is Good.

     Mark 10:19-22...Do you have the quality it takes to

                              enter the Kingdom?

     Mark 10:23-27...The terrible danger of affluence, it

              can destroy being simple, being teachable, being

              responsive.

     Mark 10:28-31...Many who are first will be last.  And

                              many who are last will be first.
