Maddy and Ryan review the pilot episode of Wolverine and the X-Men, which feels like X-Men Evolution, except now it's all grown up... and dealing with some serious political oppression. There are multiple flashbacks in this episode, and it moves fast, but somehow, it all works (maybe because these aren't Weapon X flashbacks again). Also, Beast and Wolverine are two gay dads and they do a prison break together and we love that for them.
By the way, if you're a new listener, our mascot for the plugs section at the end of the episode is an anthropomoprhic butt plug named "Pluggy," and he's in this episode, and we don't explain it, because this is how our show goes. Welcome to our undiluted gay chaos energy.
Next week's episode: "Hindsight, Part 2," Wolverine and the X-Men
