We’re back and COVID-negative but positive the Beijing Olympics is about to be nuclearly disrupted. As promised, we still can’t shut up about satellites, broadcasting, and telecommunications, but now we’ve got MJ, Muhammad Ali, Princess Di, and, for some drunk reason, Kanye to spice up the conversation. Tune in to hear two non-architectural experts explain late 20th century architecture through the eyes of the Architect in the Matrix and decipher Steven Michael John McClane’s Century City 1988 Christmas Olympic message between the twin towers of Minoru Yamasaki and I.M. Pei.
Time to whip out your wallets because corona pandemic assistance ended and beer ain’t cheap—psyche! We’re holding off on paywalls to dive even deeper into crowns and popes, exploring coronation propaganda in the age of mass media, where Howard Hughes meets Hugh Jackman. We also look Corona, Queens and the Queen’s corona as we reminisce about the balance of power between American corporatism, British Monarchy, and the papacy, and how all this and the corona virus’s spikes somehow come to a head in Spike’s corona doc at the epicenter of Elmhurst Hospital.
Join Chase and Eric as they travel back again to the future foreseen by past generations. Reborn from the ashes of one of the biggest dumps in history, the New York World’s Fairs of 1939 and 1964 prove once again that capitalism and commercialization always work… as long as you offload the losses. This episode demonstrates that the US can propagandize with the worst of them. We won’t name any names except for Pope Paul VI, Queen Elizabeth II, Edward Bernays, Walt Disney and a bunch of other people. Who needs a crown when you’ve got the Flushing Meadows-Corona Park?
Once upon a time, the United States created a little old intelligence agency that created a little old satellite program that took a f*ck ton of photographs from space and surveilled the entire surface of the earth easing Cold War tensions with the Soviet Union. In what is surely just another coincidence, that program’s name was CORONA and it defined a new era of intelligence, advanced film, telecommunications, and manned space flight, and led to the billionaire space cowboy low earth orbit satellite monopoly techno-dome internet panopticon we have today… during a Corona pandemic… wow, what a coincidence. The End.
Never have our hosts tried so hard to justify their place in this mad world, appealing to insane penguins and cannibalistic chimps to validate their existence. With a little help from Tom Hiddleston, Nordic mythology, and Disney we’re feeling pretty confident in our mischievous ways. Also, turns out we weren’t so far off when we connected the Ford Edsel to Janet Jackson’s nipple. Why the hell didn’t we go into advertising?
We just noticed the Hermes mobile is actually a morphing time-traveling 1958/1959 Ford Edsel last registered in 1964, oscillating between the underworld and Earth orbit. We’re on the threshold of a major breakthrough exposing the best of American broadcasting exploitation and the breast of Janet Jackson for a stimulating conversation about who the hell knows what.
Don’t shoot the messenger, unless of course you realize the medium is the message in which case go for it, just be sure to take out the entire system at once for a clean transition, preferably through an assassination and/or the Olympics. Also bear in mind that all technologies are merely extensions of ourselves, and so you’re actually shooting ourself. Lastly, don’t worry, all this funny business is sanctioned by the Olympian messenger himself—Hermes.
We’re stuck in Pensacola, our dome away from home, concocting an Egyptian pyramid scheme—I mean dream. It feels a bit like an anti-coronation nightmare, surrounded by all this death of kings and transporting mummified pharaohs. Indeed our conversation includes the stuff of tales... tall tales, super tall tales, or maybe even mega tall tales, like radioactive AI robots and, of course, aliens... Aka 4/20.
Somehow we’re still on satellites... oh, it’s because everything we do, say, see, and talk about on this earth is related to an omnipresent network of orbiting telecommunication surveillance satellites that watches our every move, entertains our every thought, and has flooded the earth with a calming wave of life giving feminine energy during this pandemic. Big Brother? More like Big Mother!
