In a strange coincidence of timing, Hollywood is on trial at the same time; Harvey Weinstein, Danny Masterson, and Kevin Spacey.  All three trials involve allegations that came forward during the height of the MeToo movement though the alleged assaults occurred years and sometimes decades prior. The Weinstein case is still in the early phases of the trial, pre-trial motions, and jury selection. That case is expected to start with opening statements and witnesses next week. The Masterson trial finished jury selection fairly quickly and moved to contentious opening arguments, and the first alleged victim is on the stand. Kevin Spacey’s civil trial, where the plaintiff is seeking $40 Million in damages, is now in the defense case, and Spacey has finished his testimony. That trial will likely be given to the jury late this week or early next week.
