For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter. If you’ve ever done something at just the right time, or just the wrong time, you know timing is everything. We wrestle with God being in control of everything in our lives and with His timing. We rejoice that He reserved one time for himself. Our message on Ecclesiastes 3:1-15.

We can overcomplicate things in our lives. We take things which should be relatively simple and add a bunch of complexity. Solomon encourages us to keep it simple, and focus on that which matters most. Our message on Ecclesiastes 2:24-26.

How are we using what we’re given to make an impact on someone’s eternity? God’s generosity with us begins with Jesus, he takes our sin and gives us his life. Then, His love overflows into every aspect of our lives. Our message on Ecclesiastes 2:18-23.

In the end, the wiseman and the fool end up in the same place, so what good is there in being wise? Our message on our Quest for Wisdom and the path God has given us. Sometimes, life is going to be unbearably hard, and it may even be our fault. In Jesus, we can say to ourselves and those in despair: Life has hope & joy.

Do you remember the emergency alerts that would take over the TV when you were younger? It was on every channel. There was nothing you could do to get away from it. They were unwelcome interruptions. But we don’t like when the real warnings interrupt us either. Solomon tests all of the world’s pleasures and gives us a real warning in Ecclesiastes 2. Our message.

“What’s in it for me?” is a question we ask pretty often. As children and adults, we want to know what we get for all the hard work we do. But as we repeat the cycle of mistakes of the past, and our legacies fade, what’s left? What work of ours endures for eternity? Christ’s work guarantees our work which comes from Him is never wasted. Our culture wrestles with life after death, and especially with what it would mean that Jesus was killed on the cross and rose from the grave. In 1 Corinthians 15, we see that while culture may disagree, it’s true “Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.” We can pray “Thy Will Be Done” to our Heavenly Father who has guaranteed our future through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Jesus prayed, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.”  When he said this, he breathed his last. Jesus gives himself into the hands of the father. He does not resist God’s will—He trusts God’s will. In everything, we pray with Jesus, thy will be done, as we commit our spirit to God. Our Good Friday message.
