We're making good on our promise to follow up a heavy movie with something on the lighter side by discussing the true sequel to The Exorcist, 1990's Repossessed (please read that with the intended sarcasm). We discuss the changes made after director Bob Logan left the film, the depictions of televangelists and world religious leaders, and the legend that is Leslie Nielsen. More than anything we discuss what still works and what really, really doesn't, if it ever did. So put on your blue dress and join us as we try to figure out why the devil hates sex, drugs, and rock n' roll.

What better way to celebrate Earth Day week than to discuss Darren Aronofsky's environmental apocalypse nightmare allegory Mother!. We are very happy to welcome our guest Michele Eggen of the Movies for Life Podcast (found in Season 1 of this feed) to discuss one of her favorite comfort movies--yes, really. We try to wade our way through some Kabbalah, Gnosticism, and mythology (oh my!) to try to get at the meaning of all that symbolism. So, if you ever wondered what Mother! is all about, we think we have some pretty good ideas while acknowledging that there are so many more possibilities than we had time for. Join us for a rousing, deep, but also very fun discussion of this giant stressball of a movie.

He's Back! The Man Behind the Mask
