Our Patron Seth Blackwell has us dive back into the world of weird, art films and he even joins us to try and figure out just what the hell this even is. Chris and I have never seen it, Anita is out this week and we had to ask Seth on multiple occasions, "WHY?" Being from Ohio, this film did intrigue Chris and I but disappointed us both when we found out it wasn't actually filmed there! Some of our pod friends have labeled this as "the worst movie ever made," so it's time to see if we agree or if we'll be rushing out to get that Criterion 4K when it drops soon. Thank you for listening and thanks again to Seth for his support, his movie pick and for joining us!

Thanks to Patreon, we all get to fill a hole in our pop culture knowledge as none of us have ever seen The Warriors. A movie with a rabid cult fanbase and loved by rappers all over, can it be any good in 2024? We kept straight with the movie this week, not a ton of side convos but we did get Anita singing for a second, Trade Voorhees gets some play with his new EP that just dropped, and Dell made sure that we DID NOT watch the director's cut, he was very specific about that. We hope you enjoy the show!

Thanks to our supporter Kevin Rodriguez, we get to go back in time and review a film that none of us have watched in a real long time. For the first time in a while, we all had wildly different thoughts about the movie and one of us may have some torches and pitchforks coming their way. We also discuss if we would go back in time if given the opportunity, how different this movie could've played out if Marty had been a Black Man going back to 1955, Chris has a quick review of the new Beetlejuice movie and Brent was on one this week for some reason and has beef with drivers of a certain car and rants about a certain bodily function. As usual, we thank you for listening and hope you enjoy the show.

So, I have avoided this film for 22 years but because of Anita and Chris, I have to finally watch it. As a kid, I had no interest in the American Jackie Cham films (other than Rush Hour) and I didn't watch any of them. I expect the worst but i'm being open. It also helps that PJ is with us this week! In true HVH style, we break the movie down and discuss other things like, do clothes really make the man? What are some of the worst water brands? If PM Dawn had debuted in 2002, would they have had longer careers? Of course, there is a lot more and we appreciate you listening!

Alien was so good that Anita and Chris couldn't wait to watch the next movie! Even better is that Chris came out to visit us here in Cali, so all three of us are on the mic in person again, like old times. I was brimming with anticipation for them to see the first 10 minutes of this movie and if you know why, you know. Anita and I also went to see Alien: Romulus and give quick thoughts, we hip Anita to some old memes, Anita knows how to use her words and oh yeah, we watched the special edition of Alien 3. We hope you enjoy the show!

I get to show Chris his first Brandon Lee film and I get to re-analyze this movie after previously reviewing it on the Old Man Orange Podcast about five years ago! A buddy cop movie with decapitations, neck snaps, spin wheel death explosions, water hoses down the throat and weird lines from Brandon Lee for sure has to be a fun time right? We also reminisce on the old days playing Mortal Kombat II and going to the video store. We hope you enjoy the show!

The spirit of PJ lives on because like him, apparently Chris and Anita haven't seen anything either. This is a first time watch for them both and Chris had never even watched the original, so he gives his review of that film as well. This was a staple of my childhood, the same way the Harry Potter movies were staples of theirs, so let's see if they can come around to Aliens like I did for some of those movies! If you do watch this anytime in the future, please watch the 4K version, it was like watching it for the first time and I really mean that! Thank you for listening!

Chris and i are on the mic this week and thanks to our supporter, Scott Widney, I get to check out a flick that has been on my radar for a while now but I juts never got around to. I don't know what was up with me this day but I was on one. Went into several rants like in the old days of the podcast, talking about people spoiling movies online, streaming services being trash, home media being wack nowadays and I did have a few good words about the new Batman: Caped Crusader series. Also, do you agree with Chris on how he saw the ending to this movie?

The patrons have spoken once again and this time, the homie Nick wanted us to watch the 1989 karate flick, "Best of the Best." Always saw this movie playing on HBO as a kid but never actually checked it out. Very curious to see just how much karate Eric Roberts is about to throw down with! Because of a bicycle scene in the film, we all discuss our trials of learning to ride a bike, I have questions about the Olympics, we learn a bit about zodiac signs and I made a lot of dirty jokes, as I am one to do. They laughed though! Thank you Nick, for the support and we hope you and the listeners enjoy the show!

Mario gifts us with his next Patreon pick this week and I've actually never seen Horror Express; it was on my entirely too long list of movies to get around to one day. I was able to talk Anita into watching this horror film since it was light on jump scares. The movie was slightly hard to follow at points, but we got through it and the final thoughts may shock you! I also got to hip Anita to a bunch of weird movie to video game adaptations, Chris helps us break down the service industry closing period etiquette, I wonder if people in the 1900's used 1972 slang, we give quick thoughts about The Boys season 4 and I created a new acronym for the podcast, at least new to me anyway. We hope you enjoy the show!
