Why Owning a Home is the Best Choice. This week we talk about why owning a home is the best choice next to renting. There are many many reasons why owning a home is better than renting. Some of the reasons we go over this week are where the money goes and rules for living. When renting they money you give the landlord goes to their pocket where as paying a mortgage for your home pays off what you owe to a bank or lender. When you pay your mortgage you are adding equity to your wealth where as when you are paying rent the money is just gone for you and possibly helps the landlords wealth. When you rent there are certain rules you probably need to follow where as when you own a home you can have your own rules. Should You Hire a Professional or Do It Yourself. This week we cover a few items around the home that might need fixing or repairing. One of the questions that homeowners usually ask is "should I hire a professional to do it, or just do it myself". Some jobs you can save some money by doing it yourself and others you may just be better off hiring a professional that specializes in the job.
