Smoothly Transitioning into Your New Home. When it comes time to move into your new home, there are a few things that need to be done. You will need to change your address at a lot on institutions so that it will be current and you will still get your mail delivered. Starting with the Post Office change your address. From there you can also update your address at other locations. After you change your address at the Post Office when you receive a piece of mail with a yellow tag then you know you need to update your address at that sender.
