  • Lesson 1: Money and Finances • It All Belongs to God
Psalm 24:1 — What does the Bible say about money? It all belongs to God, and you are his steward. Lesson 1 of our money series. This lesson on what the Bible says about money starts where Scripture starts: God owns it all. Your house, your truck, your paycheck, and the dollar in your pocket are not yours, and biblical stewardship begins when you believe that. From Psalm 24:1, this message shows why you are a manager of what God has put in your hands, not an owner. If you've ever thought "I earned this," or felt the pull to want more, this lesson is for you. Moses warned Israel that the real danger isn't being poor. It's being full and forgetting the God who filled you. We walk through five passages that answer a simple question: if everything belongs to God, how does that change how you spend, save, and give? This family integrated church Sunday school lesson was taught with children and parents together. Kids read the Scriptures aloud, and an object lesson shows that God's claim is on everything we own. Families can use the discussion questions at the end to continue the conversation at home. This lesson walks through Psalm 24, 1 Chronicles 29, Deut 8, 1 Cor 4, and Luke 16, explaining: - God owns it all: the earth and the fulness thereof, and the people who live in it - Why everything we have came from his hand - Why giving to God is only handing back what was already his - The danger of the "self-made man" in Deut 8:17-18 - Who gave you the power to get wealth - What a steward is, and why God requires faithfulness, not riches - Why how you handle a little determines how you handle a lot - Why a widow with little and a businessman with much answer the same question

  • Finding Hope in Ministry Discouragement
Every pastor has woken up on a Sunday morning not wanting to go to church—and discouragement in ministry is about as common as the common cold. Critics, long seasons of trial, struggles at home, unmet expectations, and comparison with other ministries can all quietly drain the joy from a leader's heart. In this breakout, Todd Smith, pastor of Crossroads Community Church, draws on his own experience to help ministry leaders spot the causes and warning signs of discouragement and offers seven practical, biblical ways to find their way back to joy.

  • Lessons Learned at the Speed of Sound
Lieutenant Colonel Phill Cochran spent more than two decades flying the F-16 Fighting Falcon. He flew operational missions from Misawa Air Base, Japan in the Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses. Later he trained the next generation of fighter pilots between 1990 and 2013 at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona and Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma. His career took him around the world, including Singapore, Africa, Germany, and Korea. Lt. Col. Cochran is the father of seven, and is also a grandfather. He spent 23 years as a pastor. Now retired from military service, he has authored the book, Lessons Learned at the Speed of Sound: A Fighter Pilot's Lessons on Faith, Discipline and Trust. As we read through the Scriptures, we see the Lord Jesus using many illustrations as He taught. He used agriculture by taking examples from a mustard seed, an olive tree, different types of soil and fields that were white unto harvest. He also used illustrations of shepherding, fishing and everyday life - things with which people were familiar. In similar fashion, the apostle Paul used various vocations to drive home spiritual truth in his letters. He compared a minister of the Word to a teacher who passes on Biblical truth to others, a farmer that labors and partakes in the first of his fruits, an athlete that runs the race faithfully and finishes his course with joy and a good soldier that endures hardness. Indeed, we relate to illustrations such as these. Our guest today has written from a vantage point that is unique to him. He was a fighter pilot and has written a devotional book that draws from his everyday experiences with application that presents Biblical truth.

  • Do Not Sacrifice Your Children
On this Let's Talk Pastor Rocky Stevenson of Benoni Bible Church is joined with Bill Jack from Worldview Academy in the USA, and they discuss and examine the historical impact of secularism on Christian institutions, arguing that the separation of sacred and secular spheres has led to the erosion of family and church authority. It highlights the rise of youth ministry as a reactive phenomenon to cultural secularisation, suggesting that this approach has inadvertently accelerated the loss of young people to non-Christian influences. The conversation emphasises the biblical mandate for parents to retain responsibility for their children's education, citing Proverbs 9:10 to assert that the fear of the Lord must be the foundation of all knowledge. It critiques the modern church for mimicking state school structures by segregating age groups, advocating instead for a unified family ministry where the church complements rather than replaces the home. The tone is convicting and instructional, urging believers to engage the culture with truth and grace while reclaiming their distinct jurisdiction under Christ.

  • Building Your House
This sermon explores the contrasting outcomes of wisdom and folly as presented in Proverbs chapter 14, emphasizing that a believer's life serves as evidence of their devotion to God. The message addresses the specific responsibilities of women in building a spiritual home and the critical importance of controlling the tongue, warning that pride and careless speech can destroy relationships and testimony. It further distinguishes between the faithful witness of Scripture and the deceptive nature of false witnesses, urging believers to seek discernment and humility rather than relying on worldly knowledge or overthinking. The preacher encourages the congregation to assess their own lives, recognizing that while individuals bear their own unique burdens, Christ remains a close friend who understands their inner struggles and offers true peace.
