Advance voting for the March 24 presidential primary begins in just a few weeks. We'll be using a new voting system that is mostly similar but somewhat different to what we're used to.
In part one, Floyd County Elections Chief Robert Brady walks us through using the new machines. He believes you'll see a smoother voting experience and one with a built-in failsafe system to help assure you the ballot has the exact results you selected.
In part two, Brady shares where and when you can vote in advance of the presidential primary as three sites will be in use over three weeks -- the community room at the yellow brick courthouse as well as some days at the civic center and others at Garden Lakes Baptist Church. One round of weekend voting also is set.
About this podcast: Robert Brady joined us at Brand Red Studios in downtown Rome to talk about the upcoming elections. We thank the Brand Red folks for their production support of our long-form podcasts and Todd La Berge for another excellent job producing this conversation. The Druck Report is a production of Hometown Headlines Inc. Please join us for our weekday newscasts and rants as well.
All nine 14th Congressional District hopefuls have the check marks in the “right” boxes when taking the GOP pedigree test:
So then, how do voters from Paulding County to the suburbs of Chattanooga tell the Republican candidates apart? We're about to find out.

After the headlines from the past three days, what have we learned?
The answer: Not much.

So now we know who really won the Super Bowl: Fox TV and the advertisers.
Based on preliminary reports, around 100 million people watched Sunday’s how-ever-you-classify-it event, up 1.2 percent from the previous year. That makes Super Bowl 54 the 10th most watched ever.
The smaller story is Chiefs over the 49ers. That’s just filler.
And while I love data and stats and figures more than most, the one thing I can’t seem to dig up through all the post-game pandering is this: How many people actually watched the football game itself?
As a nation, we’re more concerned about the amenities than the alleged focus.
Today, more of us can tell you what J Lo wore at half time than the score of the game. Look no further than Facebook for proof.
Today's headlines:
It seems there was some sort of issue at Taco House following the Trump Rally in Calhoun's downtown park on Saturday. Supporters of Republican House candidate Marjorie Taylor Greene had arranged for a post-rally get-together there.
But what happened Saturday is unclear. Greene issued a statement Sunday, saying her team and supporters were turned away despite having reservations for half the restaurant. They allege it had something to do with the ample Trump signage, hats, etc. Plan B was The Velo Vineyard, also in Calhoun.
Another House Republican hopeful, Dr. John Cowan, also had a post-rally rally, his at World of Wings and it was held without incident.
Taco House is being both roasted on social media as well as praised for whatever happened (we can't reach them).
We knew this would be a "red meat" election season but is the line being drawn at a taco shop?
