What is our motivation for repenting of our sins? In this homily, Fr. Mattingly compares and contrasts the motives that drove the prodigal son to repentance (today’s Gospel) with the motives that drove the apostle Peter to repentance after his three-fold denial of Our Lord. He then draws practical conclusions for how we can grow in deeper and deeper repentance of our own sins.
