In this homily on the Feast of the Baptism of our Lord, Fr. Mattingly discusses the most fundamental reason Jesus is pleasing to His Father – it is solely because He is His son. Fr. Mattingly reflects on what this means for parents as well as our own relationship with God the Father. God’s love for us is not dependent on what we do. It doesn’t change based on our love for Him. There is no greater security than knowing the God of the universe loves you with an unconditional love.
