I have never had a friend who I loved as a sister until I met Tash at CSUN in 1996. The day she passed away was one of the most difficult times I've ever experienced. 💔

I've raised my son, and now my baby is leaving the nest. Though I've prepared him, I have not prepared myself to be without him. I'm officially alone.

Self-discovery moment. I've been dealing/dating since I was in my teens thinking I knew it all. Now, I'm realizing that I know nothing. I see how the relationships I saw growing up shaped my dating life as I got older. Some things MUST CHANGE if I want to be successful.

A much-needed release! I had just gotten fed up with always holding my breath and acting as if I'm not affected by the bullshit.

Sometimes my emotions are all over the place. If I'm moving too fast I'm not able to be in the moment and assess where the overflow is coming from. At that moment, anybody can get it!

I was not feeling whole! 😕 I looked up and realize that I'm all over the place. Years of parenting/marriage had taken a toll and I was unrecognizable to myself. I was broken 💔. I felt like I was gathering pieces of my life and none of them made any sense.

This episode is where it all started. When I realized the level of weight I was carrying from all the years of trying to maintain this "Strong Black Woman" persona. This was the heaviest weight to carry because it didn't allow me to breathe...and I just needed to exhale, I was exhausted.
