In episode #016, we elders continue our conversation on Hmong women experiences in The New Patriarchy by unpacking the phrase “ua siab ntev.” We elders also share our thoughts about Mai Neng Moua’s book, “The Bride Price,” consider alternatives to a bride price to honor Hmong parents, and begin to think about Hmong womanhood outside of “Hmong culture.”
