Hook Cooks

Hey kid, get over here. You got a couple ears, yeah? Drag that musicbox right where yer standin', slap on some Hook Cooks and get yourself educated. Here, in this place where we do business, we listen to tales of superheroes and magic powers, mobsters and sign language. If I hads me a cigar right now, I'd tip my hat to ya.

Words is powers, excepts for whens it ain'ts.

We've got a new episode of Hook Cooks locked and loaded! Let's get all of the hard stuff out of the way first- What are your thoughts on the horrors of war? Has your government ever fired a missile at a blob in "self defence"? Are you sure that you're the good guys? I know at least one of the Cooks is, but not telling which one!

Anyway, pick up that bandolier, throw on those headphones and help me carry this stretcher!

Joining us tonight in the Hook Cooks kitchen is the supremely talented and wonderful Nirali Somaia, animator and director of @ChocChipAnimation, who took a break from animating to guide us backwards (and forwards) through time. I know, we swore no more time travel episodes. We swore the only time we'd engage with time travel was to go back in time and tell us to not do any more time travel episodes. Well, we lied. Or... maybe we time-lied.

Join us for an episode bursting at the seams with true love, murder, chocolate, and of course, sock.

Welcome to another exciting episode of Hook Cooks! How about a drink to get you started? We've got juice, we've got milk, we've got beer and bourbon and blue gatorade, and we've got water up to our ankles but whatever you do... don't drink the water. Why not? Our three cooks are fairly certain it's cursed. Or curdled? Sorry, this dusty hand-written note is stained to hell. And at the bottom it just says 'Send Help'.

Listening counts as helping, doesn't it?

Winter's chill got you feeling a little blue? Are the kids not coming to your concerts as often as they used to? Why not join us at the dive bar on the dark side of the moon for a live play of the newest episode of Hook Cooks! This one comes served with an appetiser: It is important for you to know that George Lucas named the music in Star Wars 'Jizz'. That is not a joke.

Thank you to Holizna for our theme - "Sailing Away".

And for the intro to this week's Plate-Up - "There Will Come A Time".
