Hoop Ties

Lets jump into the top “bigs” in the league. Giannis, AD, Jokic, Embiid, and KAT set the stage for top bigs in the league, but where does Deandre Ayton fall? Is KD impossible to trade…where does Brooklyn go from here? Do we see Donovan Mitchell in New York and what does it cost the Knicks?

The O.G is here! Starting with his greatest memories from the 96 Draft shoot to XXL Magazine. The game of basketball is constantly evolving but will we ever see another Allen Iverson? Plus the true value of players in the NBA.

Chet Holmgren with a great debut at NBA Summer League, the biggest question will be around the position he guards. At the power forward position, it’s scary for Chet on the defensive end. What does the Rudy Gobert trade do for the Minnesota Timberwolves? Let’s talk about KAT and D Lo - the expectations they are facing this season are real, they need to be in the playoffs.

Cap or no cap, Andrew Wiggins over Anthony Edwards for the 2023 All-Star game.

Discussing the biggest “What If” moments in NBA History, from Free Agent signings to Blockbuster Trades. Whether it was Chris Paul almost going to the Lakers or Tracy McGrady and Allen Iverson teaming up, the history of today's NBA would look very different.

Anthony Davis is not a #1 option on an NBA Championship team right now. Bubble Davis was, LeBron in year 20 should not be leading the Los Angeles Lakers. If Anthony Davis was playing to his potential the Lakers wouldn’t be in their current state.

The Hawks just made a statement with their backcourt addition of Dejounte Murray! When you add a two-way player like Murray it takes a lot of pressure off Trae. Where do the Hawks slot in the standings, does this elevate them into a top-4 seed in the East?

Shoutout to all the players getting paid, free agency is in full effect!

Whats the definition of a poverty franchise? Brooklyn is playing with fire when it comes to this era of Nets basketball. Does Kyrie want to be in LA and what do possible sign and trade scenarios look like…not pretty. KD to Portland, but Dame and KD ain’t moving the needle in the West. Can Russell Westbrook win a Championship as the #1 option? When it comes to availability, Kyrie and AD are a detriment to their respective teams.

Happy Draft Day! Shoutout to all the potential draftees on this life changing moment.

What does this trade with Jerami Grant do for the Trail Blazers…is it a step in the right direction? We know the intentions of the Portland Trail Blazers but this doesn’t move the needle to a Championship caliber team. The bottom line, where will the Portland Trail Blazers finish in the Western Conference standings? The window is small and we respect Damian Lillard for his loyalty but the clock is ticking. Will the Trail Blazers ever win another Championship?

Shoutout to 100 episodes of No Pump Fakes! What team will Kyrie Irving be playing on next season? Do we see Kyrie in the Purple and Gold reunited with LeBron? Kyrie has all the leverage, he gets to pick and choose. The Nets don’t have many options, pay Kyrie!

Shoutout to Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors your 2022 NBA Champions. Steph finally takes home his first MVP, and he was the best player by a mile. Andrew Wiggins came to play all finals and was the second best player in the SERIES, scoring buckets or putting Jayson Tatum in jail on defence. Jayson Tatum didn't show up with a record 100+ turnovers and 6/18 in Game 6. What's next for Boston after arguably giving away their golden opportunity? Should the Celtics move Marcus Smart for a more traditional point guard that can control the tempo and pace of the game?

PS : WARDELL STEPHEN CURRY IS AT THE TABLE

Theus and Ahmad break down their best NBA Finals duos of all time. They both got the LA Lakers combo of Shaq and Kobe as the number one pair. Theus doesn't have Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen in his top three! Where would Steph Curry and Kevin Durant rank for you? Remember this is the BEST of the BEST not everyone can make it and everyone has their reasons. Lebron James could appear on this list with Kyrie Irving, Dwyane Wade and Anthony Davis. Did Steph/KD and Dwade/Bron underperform, winning two championships?
