The Hebrew word ‘Hesed’ is basically the “relational glue” of our family attachment of joyful love for one another. It is an enduring covenant love which bonds people and communities together. In this message, we discover the need and importance of cultivating a high ‘hesed’ community in the church where we strengthen our bonds together by strong and lasting attachments.

--- Das hebräische Wort "Hesed" ist im Grunde der "Beziehungsklebstoff" unserer Verbundenheit durch freudige Liebe zueinander. Es ist ein dauerhafter Bund, der Menschen und Gemeinschaften miteinander verbindet. In dieser Botschaft entdecken wir, wie wichtig es ist, in der Kirche eine große "Hesed"-Gemeinschaft zu kultivieren, in der wir unsere Verbundenheit durch starke und dauerhafte Beziehungen untereinander stärken.

Jesus knew the importance of being still before God. Being still is a foreign concept in a hectic world where we are encouraged to be busy to be successful. In this message, we explore how God is awakening his people to be still before him. “Be still and know that I am God” is actually a command of God and something as Christians which we must learn to do.

This Good Friday service is celebrated in the form of a funeral. During a funeral service it is common to read a eulogy, a tribute of the life of the person who has just died. What do you say about Jesus during His life here on Earth? Where do we begin? At a funeral, a sermon is then preached to proclaim the gospel in the context of the death of the person who has just died. In this case, Jesus is the Gospel!

--- Dieser Karfreitagsgottesdienst wird in Form einer Trauerfeier gehalten. Bei einer Trauerfeier ist es üblich, eine Trauerrede zu halten, eine Würdigung des Lebens der Person, die gerade gestorben ist. Was sagen wir über Jesus zu seinem Leben hier auf der Erde? Wo soll man anfangen? Bei einer Trauerfeier wird dann eine Predigt gehalten, in der das Evangelium im Zusammenhang mit dem Tod der verstorbenen Person verkündet wird. In diesem Fall ist Jesus das Evangelium!

Everything Jesus did, He did out of love. Everything Jesus did was to please God, His Father in Heaven and to fulfil the will of His Father.

For us as Christians, it is the same, that whatever we do, we need to do from love. We are to be motivated by doing the will of the Father (not selfish ambition).

--- Alles, was Jesus tat, tat er aus Liebe. Alles, was Jesus tat, tat er, um Gott, seinem Vater im Himmel, zu gefallen und den Willen seines Vaters zu erfüllen. Für uns als Christen gilt dasselbe: Was immer wir tun, müssen wir aus Liebe tun. Wir sollen von der Motivation geleitet sein, den Willen des Vaters zu tun (nicht von egoistischem Ehrgeiz).

Some people are moved by money, some fame, recognition, power, or ego. But not Jesus. Jesus only moved with compassion. As disciples of Christ, we are reminded that His compassion moves in and through us, to enable us to bless those round about us.

--- Manche Menschen werden von Geld, Ruhm, Anerkennung, Macht oder Ego bewegt. Aber nicht Jesus. Jesus hat sich nur von Barmherzigkeit leiten lassen. Als Jünger Christi werden wir daran erinnert, dass seine Barmherzigkeit in und durch uns wirkt, um uns zu befähigen, die Menschen um uns herum zu segnen.

There is a shaking going on in the world and in the Kingdom, which would suggest we are on the edge of great change. For us as the children of God, it's important that we recognise this change and respond to what God is doing in this time.

--- In der Welt und im Reich Gottes ist eine Erschütterung im Gange, die vermuten lässt, dass wir an der Schwelle eines großen Umbruchs stehen. Für uns als Kinder Gottes ist es wichtig, dass wir diesen Umbruch erkennen und darauf reagieren, was Gott in dieser Zeit tut.

There is power in relationship, in cultivating good relationships and being courageous and receiving internal healing in attempting to fix broken ones.

--- Es liegt eine große Kraft in Beziehungen, in der Pflege guter Beziehungen, in Mut und innerer Heilung bei dem Versuch, zerbrochene Beziehungen zu reparieren.

There are more than 7000 promises of God in the Bible towards His people. The power of God’s promises are rooted in the character of God and the power of His Word. When we plant the seeds of the promises in our heart, they will bear fruit that will nourish us through life’s toughest time.

--- In der Bibel gibt es mehr als 7000 Verheißungen Gottes an sein Volk. Die Kraft der Verheißungen Gottes ist im Charakter Gottes und der Macht seines Wortes verwurzelt. Wenn wir die Samen der Verheißungen in unser Herz pflanzen, werden sie Früchte tragen, die uns in den schwierigsten Zeiten unseres Lebens nähren.
