These are all important questions and there is much confusion in our world and in the church about this matter. The christian life gets awkward and confusing when our answers to these questions are incorrect, but it can be so amazing and fruitful when we understand these most basic things.

The blessing of God’s righteousness is available to all people. No one can work and earn the forgiveness of their sin but all types of people are invited to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and have God’s righteousness credited to their account.

In this sermon we learn one more reason that we know the law doesn’t save and then we learn about our inheritance. This is the exciting part! Paul has just spent quite a bit of time introducing and explaining what it means to be justified by faith alone apart from works. Now Paul makes reference to Abraham and David’s faith.

In Romans 3:21-26 Paul makes it clear that God’s righteousness is only received by faith. Paul then anticipates how some who hear this teaching would respond. In this passage Paul asks, "What about boasting?" He asks is God the God of Jews only, or is He the God of everyone? He then says that the law of God is not overthrown, but actually upheld, or established, by the doctrine of justification by faith alone.

The applications of these verses in the life of God's people are vast and numerous. Listen with an open heart and an open mind. The Lord will speak through His Spirit as you consider the word of God.

Paul has spent so much time making it clear that man is evil and cannot do anything to be right before God.

Then comes Jesus. Jesus changes everything. All who believe in Him are made right with God. Sinners can be saved and have the righteousness of Jesus when they believe in Him!

“Now we know that whatever the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God. For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.”

God’s command shows us our need of Jesus, the Savior. God’s command only secures our condemnation and will never purchase our pardon or make us innocent.

This passage explains a lot! We are back in Romans and in this passage we are going to see why the world is such a dark place. It explains all of history and the chaos that we see in our world today.  In Romans 3:9-18 Paul tells us that all of mankind is radically corrupt and totally depraved in every way. This should affect how we think about the gospel and the ministry that God has given us.

Job was a godly man that served others. He said that he put on righteous deeds and justice like clothing that we wear everyday (29:14).

How are God’s people to do justice today? It has to do with giving people what they are due and making wrong things right. In this message we learn more about how we can do this in our world today.
