After last week's episode on all things trailers and the new teaser trailer for Netflix' One Piece live action adaptation being released, Freya suggested breaking it down almost scene for scene (and the whole of the beginning arcs of the franchise while she's at it! Even though she'd insist that she still contained herself).
And Christian agreed...
So we all have to live with the consequences now!
In this weeks episode, enjoy Freya's unbridled takes on everything pertaining to and around the upcoming second season of One Piece. You might just come out a believer yourself on the other end.

On a market already oversaturated with podcasts talking about movies (and all things nerd related), what's the one thing that could possibly be even more pointless?
Talking about the goddamn trailers!
Join us in this weeks episode to further your knowledge of things you could never apply in a real world conversation to an unholy extent, when we talk about the history and evolution of those little films that get us oh so excited about new releases, theatric or otherwise.

What happens when due to unforeseen circumstances the smarter half of the operation has to bow out and leaves the other half to its own devices?
A clip show, that's what! (If it was good enough for The Simpsons back in the day, it's certainly good enough for us now.)
Bit of a shorter episode this week, but it features some of our favourite moments from our earliest podcast outings.
A nice opportunity for long time listeners to go back and for those who have just stumbled upon us to get an idea what we're all about.
We'll be back next week with a brand new episode.

After having Freya do the heavy lifting on our last topic, find out in this week's episode what Christian does with his nights when everybody else is asleep and no one is watching.
It's not nearly as sinister or kinky as you might have guessed/feared/hoped. But it certainly is surprising. And then again, knowing him, is it really?
Join us on this week's episode to hear about a week long nightly obsession that started out with someone drawing on a wall.

To this day in popular culture and especially in areas considered "nerdy", fandom is still in many cases thought of and represented as male coded.
A certain idea of who partakes in a lot of these fandoms and who it is aimed at in the first place still seems very much prevalent.
But, in a rare moment of clarity, after so many episodes, Christian realised that, sitting opposite him, is someone who defies this notion.
So in this week's episode Freya shares what she's experienced in a life time as a devoted fan and contributor to a variety of fandoms that she's enjoyed over the years and gives us a glimpse of how varied these fandoms and those who enjoy them really are.

Every now and so often in life something unexpected comes around. It doesn't say Hi! It won't introduce itself. It just jumps out at you, knocks you over the head with a lovingly prepared brick and tells you: "Your old life is over! Here's your new reality!"
Join us in this week's episode, where we open up about moments of initiation in movies, music and video games that changed our views on their respective genres, media, or life itself forever!

Having a crush is perfectly normal. Having a crush on several fictional characters over the years when you're young is also perfectly normal.
It might be an early indication of what your type might be.
When one of them is the literal devil, however, and you're literally playing the devil's advocate, we may need to talk.
Join us on this week's episode of "Hopelessly Casual", where Freya and Christian discuss their fictional paramours from their formative years.
(Spoiler alert: One was way more active than the other.)

It was a lovely Saturday evening. The sun was still up, the temperature just right, a nice bar with a garden literally around the corner...
So naturally we decided to stay in, order some food, down a bottle of wine and play through the first level of every (mainline) Super Mario game from 1985 all the way to the present day.
Do they still hold up? Do they make you wanna play the rest of the game? Or are they just not as good as our nostalgic, kinda tipsy brains remember them to be?
Levels will be rated, opinions overstated and almost two hours obliterated on this episode of "Hopelessly Casual".

** Note: This episode originally aired in August of 2024. So no longer as current as it was back then, but still a lot of fun. **
In this week's episode everyone's worst nightmares come true:
You're in the cinema wedged between two of the most mid podcasters you'll ever meet. One won't let you miss even the tiniest reference made in the film, while also being very physically expressive about it. The other has a laugh so obnoxious and ill timed, that you can't help but wonder, how he ever made it to his mid thirties...
Both have opinions on everything they see.
Join us for a night at the movies, including excessive trailer talk and for once hear us sing the praises of the absolute blast that was that nights feature presentation.

What's that you're saying? You don't much care for (insert video game/show/book series here)?!
But it should be right up your alley!
Yeah, shoulda, coulda, woulda, but wasn't.
Join us for this week's episode, where we talk about our top contenders for things we should really, really like, but for some reason we really, really don't. Despite our best efforts (mostly).
