Hey everyone and welcome to the pilot episode of our new podcast "Hopelessly Casual", Part 1.

For our very first episode we wanted to talk about the topic that got us thinking about making this format to begin with: Films. Having watched the entirety of film between us (not really, but kinda) and having studied acting and film,

we decided to have our very first episode about just that: Film. Wherever it might lead us!

Needless to say, it got a bit out of hand and so we decided to split this pilot into two parts.

It was a lovely Saturday evening. The sun was still up, the temperature just right, a nice bar with a garden literally around the corner...

So naturally we decided to stay in, order some food, down a bottle of wine and play through the first level of every (mainline) Super Mario game from 1985 all the way to the present day.

Do they still hold up? Do they make you wanna play the rest of the game? Or are they just not as good as our nostalgic, kinda tipsy brains remember them to be?
