The tomb is empty. Jesus is alive. And because He lives, everything changes.

Why is Jesus called the Lamb who was slain?

In this Good Friday message, Pastor Bob Botsford traces the crucifixion through Matthew 27, Revelation 5, and several passages in Exodus. Revelation reveals Jesus as the only One worthy because He was slain and redeemed His people by His blood. Palm Sunday is filled with details that are easy to recognize but easy to overlook.

Revelation 4 opens a door into heaven.

Pastor Bob Botsford teaches through Revelation 4:1–11 in the Paradise Found series, where John hears a trumpet-like voice say, “Come up here,” and suddenly finds himself before the throne of God.

Pastor Bob sees this transition as a picture of the rapture of the church before the judgments that follow. From there, he explores what John actually sees: a rainbow around the throne, 24 elders, flashes of light, a sea like glass, four living creatures, and continual worship declaring, “Holy, holy, holy.”

Each detail points toward a heaven defined by God’s covenant, participation, illumination, peace, and absolute rule.

The message challenges believers to treat heaven as more than a distant idea and begin living now as though Christ is already truly King.

Jesus’ final letter to the seven churches of Revelation contains one of His strongest warnings: “Because you are lukewarm… I will vomit you out of My mouth.”

Its local industries and famously lukewarm water help illuminate Jesus’ description of a church that believed it needed nothing while remaining spiritually poor, blind, and naked. Yet the letter is not merely condemnation. Jesus says those He loves, He rebukes and corrects.

The message turns the warning inward, asking where our own devotion, service, worship, and love may have become lukewarm. Jesus still stands at the door and knocks, inviting His people to repent, open the door, and restore Him to His rightful place.

What does faithfulness look like when you do not feel particularly strong?
