In their final episode before Godzilla vs. Kong, the creatures meant to watch one movie and ended up watching three! They revisit the descendents of Kong to find out where to go with the majestic beast of a franchise. Dylan pitches his dream Kong reboot, Rob catches on to some fishy film score tea and the creatures make a lot of references to Hail, Caesar! Also Harambe.

This week a new kaiju enters the fray. Due to speculation about his appearance in Godzilla vs. Kong, Mechagodzilla is the subject of today’s episode. The creatures discover this new fiend and discuss Twin Peaks, Power Rangers, The Emperor’s New Groove and gorilla movies along the way.

The creatures deep dive on their lizard friend with this 2016 reimagining of Godzilla. They hash out the details of their fight wager, Rob gives a lesson on Catholic relics, talks Hideaki Anno’s work and rage and Dylan does Young Frankenstein!

We’re jumping back in time again and looking at Kong and Godzilla’s first on-screen fight this week. The creatures discuss Dylan’s pet peeve movies, electric wizards, Ray Harryhausen, Cinemascope, the Criterion Collection and international cuts as the fight heats up.
