  • Nintendo Sues Streamer for Leaked Games
Nintendo is suing a streamer, known online as EveryGameGuru and whose real name is Jesse Keighin, for repeatedly streaming pirated and emulated Nintendo Switch games, including some that were streamed before their official release. The streamer allegedly continued his activities despite Nintendo's efforts to stop him, such as sending cease and desist letters and filing takedown requests. Whenever one of his channels was shut down, he would open new ones on various platforms, including YouTube, Twitch, Kick, and other lesser-known streaming sites. He also directed his audience to popular Switch emulators and other piracy tools, and at times taunted Nintendo directly. Nintendo is seeking significant damages, with $150,000 per infringement, which could total $7.5 million if 50 counts are successful.

Season 1 of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions has launched, introducing several new features and updates. The season, titled 'Defence Against the Dark Arts,' includes a new 6v6 Pro Quidditch Mode, where two teams of six players compete in ranked matches to earn rewards such as new Hero skins for characters like Bellatrix LeStrange and Severus Snape. Other updates include smaller Quidditch rings, the re-enablement of Aim Assist in Campaign Mode for difficulties lower than Champion, and a 6v6 party system.

Players can also participate in holiday-themed events, including Holidays at Hogwarts and the Yule Ball. Three new brooms with unique skills and a new Snowy Burrow map are available during this season. The game also features the iconic PS1 Hagrid as a cosmetic.

The Nintendo Switch version and physical editions of the game were released on November 8, 2024, following the initial release on PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, and PS5 in September 2024.

Additionally, the 6v6 mode adjusts gameplay by having the Golden Snitch and Seeker on the pitch at all times, with no role swapping during matches. The Snitch race and player spawn rates have been adjusted accordingly.

  • Overwatch 2 Most Toxic Ranks
In recent revelations, developers of Overwatch 2 have identified which competitive ranks in the game are most prone to toxic behavior and players who are more likely to leave matches. According to the developers, the middle ranks of the competitive ladder tend to have the most issues with toxicity. This is because players in these ranks are often under more pressure to perform and climb the ranks, leading to increased frustration and toxic behavior. Leaver rates, however, decrease as players climb higher in the ranks, indicating that more experienced and committed players are less likely to abandon matches. This information aims to help the developers in addressing and mitigating toxic behavior within the game's community[1][5][4].

  • Overwatch November 11 Event
Blizzard is planning a significant event for Overwatch fans on November 11, although the exact details of what this event entails are not fully disclosed. The anticipation suggests it could be related to major updates, new content, or announcements for the game. Given the timing, it does not coincide with the OWCS World Finals, which are scheduled for November 22-24. The event might include reveals about upcoming seasons, new heroes, or other game-changing updates. For example, Season 14 is expected to introduce a new hero named Phreak, who was teased at Blizzcon 2023 and has roots in the early concept stages of Overwatch. However, the November 11 event is likely to be a separate occurrence from the OWCS World Finals and the Season 14 updates.
