Welcome to the Danger zone. Moved to a lovely apartment - affordable and after a year waiting! It was filled with toxic chemicals from materials used to update it. Have you suffered from MCAS / chemical illness etc & had dream apace turn to a nightmare? had asked for existing carpets cleaned only using hot water and leave unit as is. flooring blinds carpet padding paint interior exterior were replaced. Sudden onset of chemical illness symptoms so extreme Opted to sleep in my car/ move to a hotel. This episode relays list of extensive and expensive actions taken so far in attempt to remediate. Nothing has created habitability yet and almost lost all hope- but we are continuing to escalate to more dramatic / potentially effective steps including a request for carpet removal per disability law. It has taken a team of support so far. This is to documebt and encourage others in health journey! Just a brief drop in to catch everyone up hope you’re still with me there has been more housing difficulties but love and sand candles 🕯 are surfacing through. *I did say sandcastles in error. A very special little stuffed animal has been helping me pre and post fire -so much that i contacted toy makers Wild Republic https://www.wildrepublic.com/ about a project to donate these high quality comforting plush critters to children and disabled fire survivors ! This weekend found me driven across the OR state -twice- look at/sign lease for the next longer term unit move! 👍🏼💪🏽 A quick break found me dropped into a used bookstore -grabbing a 1969 anthology of poetry called ‘voices’ ! I read to my driver ( love❤️) during each commercial break commercials suxk -damn them life is short lets read! 😁

A monumental step in fire recovery is longer-term more stable affordable safe functional sanitary -housing. An end to instability and limbo. An end to the un affordably.
