YAY! to tell me we have been placed on anouther waitlist- for thewaitlist i am already on ( that took months to finf and apply for) they are sending me an application . um now it is painfully clear-the lack of solutions agencies offer to destabilized under-resourced vulnerable community members - 6 months post fire.

So I was about to view a lil mobile in another town when -google earth addy search showed me a freeway in the backyard. Ok. Dealbreaker for me -but saving energy when dealing w chronic illness is PARAMOUNT ( know what hurts / helps) Utilize property managers, neighbors, landlords, park managers, owners, news articles, and google maps ( and also nearby friends) whatever info you can find in addition to the for sale sign! You want to discover info about things. its ok to say no to potential dealbreakers... bc they are guaranteed to interfere w your valuable health & wellbeing !! Shhhh dont tell - on Ep #41 we find a IRL lil cove where the mama seals swim with their pups. Its secluded and away from the fray. Safe! Quiet-see the seals totally get it. This discovery was made after a whole bunch of things that did not feel good and were frustrating exhausting disappointing and overwhelming happened. it felt like a life raft. Hotel Almeda podcast ep# 38 After 6 months of the disaster aid relief process- and enlisting help of a professional

team -I pose this question: how can a disaster survivor ( esp if elderly, disabled, a parent- under duress under resourced and/or encountering any physical, cultural language, or technology barriors-endure the arduousness of this task and be expected to succeed? After loosing everything-and exhausting all options- are we are expected to dissapear quietly in defeat- w no resouces and no place left to live except the streets?

In this episode I wanted to bring in voices other than mine. injured shoulder/broken hand / migraines/exhaustion - have left me in ungodly elevated pain so no in person interviews (yet) A beautiful poem forwarded to me by an (adopted ) family member a few months ago. Yeah OK so I had a couple relaxing days in six months of pure chaos stress exhaustion collapse pain instability constant moving & overwhelm. As soon as I started fire relief-ing and dealing with FEMA the bottom fell out my hand broke my teeth chipped and I ended up on the floor I called five people sobbing yesterday saying I’m afraid Im not gonna make it. At least Senator rep got back to me while I was getting an x-ray. i VMing fron the Urgent care. maybe we’ll get some progress -no real way to tell but to keep listening....

Everybody we are in beautiful place yet things have felt weird and hard and despite continued efforts not seeing a good plan for moving forward w the agencies, they simply continue telling me more things to do but what I really need is fire relief aid for rent -in my hand !
