A bill making its way to Govoner Katie Hobbs would redirect sales taxes charged on purchases at Chase Field and income taxes paid by baseball players to a fund that will pay for repairs to the 27-year-old ballpark. Were it not for the bill, those dollars would go to K-12 education, public safety and other government services.
