Before we get to The Last of Us S2 here’s the repost I promised, from back in 2020 when Erik and I (Jason) were fresh off their first playthrough of The Last of Us Part II and eager to express how freaking great we thought it was! 

But fair warning! Season 2 will more-or-less follow the plot of the game, so don’t listen unless you’ve played or watched the game, or if you don’t mind spoilers. There’s a ~30-minute non-spoilery segment up front where we talk about gameplay and things like that, and then a ~45-minute super-spoilery-AF segment.

Well well, here we are at last, at the conclusion of Johnny, Daniel, and the karate kids’ stories, and it’s hard to imagine how it could all be any more glorious :) You guys know Rima, Richard, and I had a blast podcasting about this show. It started off surprisingly good and by the end it was surprisingly even better. And thanks so much from all of us to all of you who listened along with us. You guys are the best around!

Deep breath...WHEW!!! THAT was a landmark episode. From discovering Rand's ancestors knew and remembered "the Song", to delving deep into the history and lore of the Aiel's beginnings, to watching Moiraine be brutally *spoiler deleted* over and over again, this was a wicked emotional rollercoaster.

SPOILER ALERT: We loved it!!!

Join Veronica and Greg as they dig deeper into the lore of this world than Mierin punched through the Pattern, exploring a ton of the minutiae of the episode, and still probably leaving bloody stones unturned.

Hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did!

Pretty solid end to an entertaining beginning of the season! From sympathy for Liandrin (WHAAAT?!?!) to Mat embracing his fortune, from Perrin "doing what he has to" to Lan not forgetting his father battle, this episode was just as dense with payoffs and lore as the first 3 this season. Join Greg and Veronica as they break it down, answer some questions, posthumously realize their idiocy, and generally enjoy geeking out on the episode.

Well...THAT escalated quickly.
