Outgoing Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan is conducting focus groups of Republican voters around the country as part of his not-yet-official 2024 presidential campaign, the governor confirmed on Monday night in a farewell interview with the Washington Examiner. Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA), the Rules Committee ranking member, called the procedures of the new Congress passed by the House “essentially a ransom note to America from the extreme Right” on early Monday evening as lawmakers debated the package before a final vote.
